Given that everyone here seems more knowledgeable than me - wanting to go with a 19 in winter tire setup, is that a good idea?

Also, tire rack seems to suggest the setup for ZCP cars is not square (believe 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 rear?) Do I need that? I'd like to be able to rotate the wheels for obvious reasons.

I noticed this as well (looking to order a ZCP F80 in near future); but if you change to 18's, it will allow a square setup

The reason why i am doing 18s as opposed to 19s for my winter set up is because there is more sidewall in the 18s so lower chance of damaging the tires/wheels. This will be my daily car throughout the winter.

No you do not have to have a staggered set up, you can do a square set up. Also You can rotate if you have an 18 or an 19 set up. It's just that to be able to rotate you should probably have square set up and the same tires.

I'm interested and completed the survey. I'm definitely getting Apex for a winter set up. But I want Hakkapeliitta's. Doubt they'll do that.

Everyone who has expressed interest so far. The group buy pricing/deal is now announced and in the feeler phase. Please go to the following link and build your preferred package. There is no commitment to buy when you build your preferred package. Everything is not 100.00% set in stone. Some things could be modified before it goes live.
Even if you took the survey, you still have to go to the groupbuy website and build your package.

I completed the feeler but I don't really know what I am looking for in terms of sizing. I'll just go with whatever the popular square setup is. However, I'll say this - is $200 off all we should be expecting for a large group buy? This is my first F80 (and thus first experience with the "M tax"), but when I have participated in previous automotive group buys the discounts were always greater than roughly 10%.

re the price. we would not be paying for sipping either so about another $120-150. MCamachoF80 and I looked at other options and contacted a few other places. This is the best one.

I also spoke to the members who organized last years group buy and have their prices. We are not paying more. We have more tire choices as well this year compared to last year. i did a lot of searching out there and overall i am happy with this.

I will be going with the 18' 9 inch wide ET 31 and michelin 245/45/18 setup

We figured this would be brought up. So let me explain the numbers.

The discount is much bigger. Total value is $450~ off.

Shipping is free which is worth $150. Mounting and balancing is free. OEM Huff TPMS sensors are discounted. Other hardware is discounted.

We couldn't set the site up to charge full price for everything and then apply the discount. That would have been perfect for this deal. Thanks for the feedback, we'll let the site know the current format creates some confusion, and makes a great deal look mediocre.

EDIT:

On Monday we'll sent notice to everyone from the survey. Anyone who listed "I don't know" for wheel or tire sizes will be contacted by a product expert so that we can provided a tailored fitment recommendation.

I think for a similarly sized group last year, we are just about at the same price. I am pretty content with the pricing considering the options we have thus far.

I will be getting
apex EC7 18x9 ET31
Michelin X-ice 245-45-18
TPMS
BMW roundels

The width is narrower yes, but a narrower tire will negotiate through the snow better. Are you looking for studless Ice and snow or performance winter?

Awesome. I appreciate the info, guys. It does sound like a great deal when you break it down like that. I am definitely in.

Eddy - I think I missed the "I don't know" option when I completed the feeler on my phone. However, I definitely would love some input from a specialist re sizing. As to the exact sizes, I really don't know what would be best. And what are the differences between all the TPMS sensors? I just chose the first gunmetal one on the list, but have no idea how it differs from the other gunmetal ones.

Also, what do you all think about colors for a SO F80? I am thinking anthracite, but having trouble finding pictures of that combination online.

Confused

I am a bit confused.
Can I just use my current hardware (lug nuts ) to mount the winter wheel/tires?
I have a 2016 M4 and hope that just the TPMS would be the only options needed.
Am I right ??

Thanks

I think you right, you do not need them but maybe some people want a second set.
Same with the spacers, I believe these set ups can fit without the need for them but some people may prefer the look.

All I am getting is the wheels, tires, and tpms

Is the price showing up incorrectly for anyone else? I went in to add TPMS and roundels and now it shows an estimated price of $1301.44 for the following package:

18x9" ET31
Anthracite
245/45-18 X-Ice
36-10-6-856-209 TPMS (this is the correct sensor for F80, right?)
Roundels

They were selected and showing X-Ice, but when I changed them to something else and back to X-Ice the correct price showed up. Working now.

Ryan will reach out to you directly on Monday and will walk you through the right fitment, but you should read the F8X M3 winter fitment guide he wrote. It's on the main tab of the deal if you scroll down just a bit.

There are TPMS sensors for various vehicles listed. It's not an easy to follow list if you don't know your part number. You'll be told exactly what to get. I'll see if Ryan can update his fitment article to include the right ones.

Sounds like a small bug. Glad you got it figured out. I'll let them know.

Note to others: The discount will also need to be selected from the drop down before the final price is shown.

You are 100% correct. Every accessory is totally optional including TPMS. These wheels work with factory hardware, and almost everyone will want TPMS.

To be clear. Your car comes with lug bolts, not lug nuts. Lug bolts are listed there as an accessory because if anyone orders spacers they will need the corresponding extended length lugs to make them work. Those drop-downs are for various length lugs. Unfortunately we can't hide that stuff from the view of people who don't need them.
