For the folks in Canada that like blue, YMB in not the only option up north. Individual colours Azurite Black and Tanzanite Blue are also offered as a "standard" metallic colour options ($895 like all the other colours except white )

Santorini Blue.
Santorini Blue is gorgeous from all the photos I have seen. If I was going to pay the extra $5k for individual paint Santorini would be on the short list.

Perhaps this video shows a good representation of YMB in real life?

I changed my order from YMB a few weeks ago- like many on here I was trying to convince myself that I liked the colour because I wanted blue......it's such a shame Estoril wasn't held back for these new M cars.

I'm willing to bet that's a very good representation of what it looks like in flesh. But remember that this video is under complete, natural sunlight. There was another video showing it on an overcast day and it looked darker. It most likely looks a little different under different lighting conditions, which is pretty sweet.

Santorini is great too, but not +$5k great.

Here in AZ we have a good amount of cloudless days, so it seems the the video would be a good representation for most days here.

I don't think any color BMW makes is $5k great especially with their orange peel issues. I'd do an individual color if they charged $2-2.5k but that's as high as I'd be willing to go.

Those look fairly accurate, you can also look at this thread for some more pics of what YMB really looks like.

I don't think that's how the colour looks. Those pictures are still too saturated.

This is the most accurate pic out there and probably the best representation of the colour that I've found.

Hey, was there yesterday as well, I guess we went at different times. You pre-order one of these?

Two things I want to comment on for you guys ordering your cars. The YMB will probably appeal to a very limited number of people. The colour doesn't look like the ones in these pics at all (they're saturated as someone pointed out). I would caution anyone to not order that colour unless you've seen it in person.

Secondly, I thought the black wheels look bad in pics, but actually look great in person, and the design of the wheels look much better in person as well. This opinion was shared by two others I was with as well.
Hey Doc, thanks so much for your valuable insight & pics here!!

^^ No no, I didn't pre-order that CLA45 AMG Edition 1, haha ... But that's a pretty reasonable price for an AMG though ... Still think ///M's are better!!!

Yeah but I can also tell the pic of the car here is either at sunset or sunrise and the light is piercing the cars rear end. I like the previous photos I posted and feel they look the most accuarate because there is no direct lighting hitting the car and its still outside(overcast). I think Autoshows and Garages have crappy lighting to begin with.
