Melbourne Red Request Denied

Posting this for a friend. He went to order an M4 and requested Melbourne red and it got denied. Anybody here request it this period and get the same answer?

They denied it because they didn't want to see your buddy waste $5k USD.

I kid - nothing against MR, but come on, there are eleventy-seven other more exclusive, more attractive reds that he could spend that money on.

By the way, how's your Atlantis Blue M4 order looking? Arriving this month right? So it should be at the port by now or close, yeah?

Also, you should update your info in the "Drives:" field since IIRC, you sold your RS3. Edit: yep, I thought I remembered correctly:

That's crazy, never heard of being denied for a BMW color (but I am also pretty new to the individual game), I would ask sales guy for explanation

I was surprised when I heard Sunburst Gold Metallic can no longer be ordered. I have an email from the VIP Ordering Specialist of BMW North America stating that she had to decline about 4 orders in the past few months because the color has been discontinued.

Good for me I guess.

I have yet to email her asking how many SBG F80/F82/F83 are out there, if she even has access to this info.

Agree. It's all personal preference, but if I were ordering a red M, I'd be asking for Imola Red.

When I placed my individual F80 order, I got two colors denied...Hennarot and Macaoblau.
Hennarot was denied because it was a single stage color and Macaoblau was denied because they released the 30 Jahre M3 like a month later in that color.

Pretty sure another gent on this forum was denied interlagos blue on an M4 order.
