I'm still debating on purchase/ finance vs leasing. Thanks!
There is no point in aiming for a monthly. Calculate the total spent over the course of the lease. $11k down on a lease is a bad bad bad idea. Just do what everyone else said and go zero down and put that $11k in an account to draw from every month. There is absolutely no up side to putting it down.

this is the deal I was just offered to order:
2018 M3 MSRP 73, 795
savings 4000
rebate 3500
cap cost 66 295
dealer/state fees 418
total 66,713

2000 down

789/month
12k/year x 3 years
residual 60%
MF 0.00152

thoughts?

I have not asked for loyalty or the M Gruppe discount yet (not sure if he already added in the loyalty)

We are also leasing an X5 in the same deal so hopeful I can get an even better price. Have not shopped around yet at all.

Are dealers in the Bay Area really being this aggressive on price now? Back in 2015 when I ordered my 2016, I had to go to SoCal because not a single dealer in the area would go below MSRP. Some wanted a 5-10k markup. How times have changed.

Anyhow, to me, this looks like a solid deal, but I have been out of the market for almost two years now, but deals like this make me wonder if I shouldn't trade-up before F80 goes EOP. Mind sharing what dealer you are working with?

No mark up anymore, but not too many selling at invoice yet on 2018. I would say some are doing invoice + $500 to $1000 currently..

I purchase my car this week from Southern California..

Need some input gents

Somewhat new at leasing so forgive me if I dont have all the details. (I Dont have MF)

2018 M3
AW/Black
Basic, just DCT and 19's

Price: 71,545.00
Discount: 2000 (I think they can do better here)
Rebate: 4000
Adj Price: 65,545.00
Doc fee: 80
Tax: 563.00
Non Tax: 430.00
Balance: 66.618.80

10k miles/year

5k down: 812/m
7.5k down: 735/m
10k down: 659/m

Southern California. Similar story to others who have said "these cars sell themselves, dont need to negotiate much"

What am I missing here? I'd like to be in the 600 range with 5k or so down.

Need MF since that is where most dealers will try to make their profit. Also post config so we know if your price includes any port installed options which can impact invoice price.

Finally and most important. Never put money down on a lease. Just pay necessary drive off costs. If you wreck your car you don't get your extra down back. Save the cash and use it to make your payments.

Yup they didnt disclose that, if my math is correct using leasehackr it appears my MF would be right around .00220 which is hilarious based on my credit (815ish)

No port installed options, literally just 19's, DCT and black extended leather.

That MF is insane! Looks like you are in Socal so you should be able to get pretty close to invoice price before rebates/incentives. For reference, I was able to get 2500 over invoice on my 2016 when the cars were hard to get and being marked up by 5-10k. In today's market getting 3k+ below invoice with all incentives should be very doable. Just keep pressing them or move on to another dealer that isn't playing games. GL

Try Santa Maria BMW - 0.00152 MF, no issues.

These .MF increases are surprising. If you have strong credit I wouldn't accept anything but base MF. Plenty of dealers out there, it would be a non negotiable for me. Stick to your guns.

PS if you're in Cali PM me and I can send you my CA who helped me with my 2016

Guys, do you think there'll be better deal around June 2018 compared to right now? My F30 lease ends on September but I'm thinking to get rid of it now and get the M4

Crystal ball be broken....
Lots of factors - economy, etc...

However, in terms of leasing, SPRING (in the USA) tends to have the best residuals.

Then again, the M4 is not really a winter car and some dealers are getting stuck with quite a few... so that "December 30th, let's make a deal" might just be magical (ok, normally BMW counts sales up till something like Jan 4, but I'm telling you, bet you can make a nice deal on Dec 30th...)

Still Spring...

but wait, no, Feb.

Thanks for the heads-up, but I live in South Cal and there is no winter here, not sure if what you said applies over here

That's what you are missing....
Cause there are lots of cars in cold weather climates looking for homes...for instance, my dealer in St. Louis would LOVE to get rid of a couple of his M4s....

Think outside the box

MF will probably be higher, residuals should be higher as well, but I doubt you'll see $5000 in available incentives, maybe $1-2k

based on what im seeing here i take it my payment of $945 per month with 10k per year on a 95k MSRP is pretty good....which i knew but now is confirmed.

i did a lease takeover , which is how i acquire all my cars. all i did was compare MSRP to payment

lots of guys in the 75k-80k msrp paying 900 a month. i think i made out well
