My Tanzanite/Amaro Order Tracking Thread

Hello Everyone,

Just thought I'd make a thread tracking my order as it progresses. I've ordered a Tanzanite Blue / Amaro Brown M3 with a couple personal flourishes, so it may be a reasonably representative timeline of a BMW individual order for those considering it. The car will come through Port Galveston.

11/8/2017:[150]: Production began, VIN assigned
11/27/2017:[151]: Vehicle entered the body shop; estimated production date set as 12/1/17

11/29/2017:[155]: Vehicle entered and finished assembly; quality check completed

After what has seemed like forever with no updates (almost 3 weeks), today the car is finally in the body shop and will complete production by Friday. Looks like this should be a good week

What a great spec! If I was able to, I'd do almost the exact same, but have Golden Brown instead of Amaro, and add CCBs. Congrats!

It took 11 days to go from 181 - 182. Truly remarkable how slow this one is going.

Where do you get this detailed info? My Atlantis Metallic individual went into production last week and I think it would be cool to track where it is in the production process.

Dealer or BMW GENIUS can tell you. However it is important to note that the system may be behind or the build may be truncated. For example my car went into production and it was not until 2 weeks and 5 days later that t moved to the next step and did all of the subsequent steps within 2 days.

Now, granted you did an individual so it may be a bit longer. Just call everyday, twice a day to BMW Genius

So as my car has been sitting in port for some time now, I decide to give http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...sc/per_page:50 a look to see what all was in port and planned for US departure.

Now, this could change based on the info I receive, but I personally am going to bet that I will be on the Freedom. I guess we'll see in the next few days. If so, it looks like it'll be late January.... right around my birthday.

Thank you, I know about calling GENIUS and I have been in touch with them but MyKmYk had an image posted that showed production details....just wondering if he was able to get that info by logging onto a specific website

So it turns out I was wrong on the ship, but about right on the timing. Looks like I am on KLINE's OREGON HIGHWAY, which is estimated to arrive in Galveston on 1/22/2018 after first stopping in Jacksonville on the 18th. We're on the home stretch!
