PSS tires + Südtirol in November?

For those on home turf, will I need winter tires if I'm doing Euro Delivery in early November and plan to do driving south of Munich in the south Tyrol area? I plan to keep my driving on the main roads in the valley areas, but may encounter some passes on the way.

Thanks!!

Yes you will - alpine resident here.
Its the law in Germany and austria and "highly" recommended in Switzerland.
Also note that winter tires have different rubber than summers so under 7-10 degrees celsius (whatever that is in your fahrenheit summer tires a inferior even on dry surface.
And.... Typically when it snows or snow/rains it does that everywhere not just on passes...
Seriously: do NOT drive with summer or funny all-season tires over here . Its not worth it and 0% here are even asking the question. Its only in "across the pond" forums that people ask "do i really need winter tires if i have awd?"
Safe travels !

Ahh and in november you may find that some passes are closed - reopen in spring.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately I don't get conditions where winter tires are needed, so the advice is valuable!

Any Austrians here? I'm considering visiting Zell am See in early November and will like to know what the driving is like between Brunico and Salzburg. It seems like Google street view is not permitted in Austria, so no way for me to tell.
