You said above "It should come as standard on an 80k out the door car.". The base price is 62k, what are you missing? (besides 18K....)

If you spend 80k, you'll get leather...

I was on the fence for the executive package for a long time because it had a couple options I wanted and many I did not.

The icing on the cake to get the package for me is that it will be mandatory to have rear view cameras in all cars by 2018. I think that not having one would really date the car - and somewhat dates the car already.

Sunshades. My son talked me into them, but he's actually too big to sit in the back for long periods of time anyway. Everything else is just about perfect.

I DO want to get the auto-blip coded out in Sport mode, and the synthetic sound coded out for all but Sport + mode, but then that's a different thread entirely.

i would rather have the cf trim instead of the aluminum blade trim; whilst it provides a nice contrast, i think the aluminum is too bright. and i would add the driver's assistance package because - whilst not *really* needed (i mean c'mon we've driven all these years without such nannies) - it's cool. otherwise, thrilled with mine.

I apologize if I upset you. I suppose there are a few people like you who got no options (cloth seats) and somehow didn't pay any tax on the car.

Base M3/M4 with no option with cloth seats is less than $65K, even with $5K tax it is still less than $70K out the door. How would you configure your car to $80K with tax and still can't get full leather?

Not upset, you just don't make any sense.

However, like others have said, if I could have gotten cloth seats with the rest full leather, I would have done that too.

Not that hard plastic stuff that you find in low end cars. If you're not getting it, you are just getting a downgrade. You almost may as well get a Nissan GTR because you don't care about the interior.

I walked out the door with my M4 for a total of $74k which included full leather, HK stereo, 19" wheels and tax, title and license. So, I got a car for $6k less than $80k with full leather. I don't know where you keep getting that $80k number.

Still waiting for @2sporty to describe how to order and M3/M4 at $80K out the door that he can't get full leather where full leather would be the first option to get.

Pretty satisfied with my option choices.
I would probably change exterior color to something that is easier to maintain.

I probably would have left out the Enhanced USB with mine and gotten. Other than that I'm very satisfied.

Very interesting read. Thanks to all that replied.

I'm starting to lean more and more on buying a brand new LCI one (time to save up. Not trading in E92).

So far I'd want
AY (love this color. The only thing that would say me from it would be Individual, but that's pricey)
Cloth
6MT (threw around the idea of DCT as I have other MT cars I can drive, but I just can't fall in love with it unless I'm at the track)
LED (I'll regret it if I didn't get it everytime I walked up to the car)
HK (heard it's not amazing, but OK for the price. At least it's not close to 2k like the upgraded speakers on the E9x).
18s (I know the itch to get aftermarket wheels will be there eventually. And in due time, the stock 19s won't be worth as much as the 18s or future ZCP wheels IMHO).

= $66275 MSRP

Not sure:
Adaptive. Leaning towards no. Got EDC on my car and don't use it all that often, plus I will probably go aftermarket anyway.

If HUD and CA was a la carte, I'd consider it. But I'm not that kind of $ on Exec when I don't really absolutely need it. That's $4200 towards wheels and a drop.

A true stripper car that you would track would get the 18s... Nobody likes paying for 19inch tires twice a season. If you track the car (you should if your ordering a stripper) always get the smallest allowable wheel size to help out with the cost of tires and consumables.

coherent sentences would probably help us understand what you're attempting to say here.

base: 62k, +leather: $3.6k + destination: $950 = $66,550 + 7% tax (CT) = $71,208.

So a "BASE" m3 with full leather, dest & tax is actually just over $71k.

do you even have a F80 with just full leather as the only option? I find this very hard to believe. The point is, not many people want to forgo other options. Most configurations are close to 80k OTD. However, if you have full leather as your only option, condolences.
