Amazing what 3000 miles of ocean does to the value of a car.

It seems like in Europe all M4 Gts are selling for $200,000+ (Up to $250,000) vs the US where they start as low as $123,900 (cheapest new one right now.) Most leftover ones (around 25) asking MSRP.
What is up with that?
Close to a $100,000 spread for the same car based on real sales...
Taxes do not account for the whole difference (VAT up to 20% there vs local sales tax up to 10.50% here.)
Some adjustment is bound to happen, up or down...

PS: Germany also has 10, all over $200,000 and Switzerland has 4 at $225,000+

Salesman says that used car will only increase in value considering the short number produced. Thus explaining why a new one (although I don't think there are much left) will be cheaper than a used one. Doesn't justify the 100k spread for me IMHO though...

The biggest issue is that BMW NA imported way too many M4 GTS into the USA.

700 produced and 300 made it to USA and 50 to Canada. That leaves the other 350 for the rest of the whole world.

They're even more limited there...I met the GTS owner in Mexico (1 of 2 btw), and his daily is a Ferrari California; when in SoCal.

The 2nd GTS is in a museum somewhere in Mexico.

Funny as this is still true today. Even a bigger spread between here and Europe now that there are a few (used ones) in the US down to $90,000. Still a lot of used ones there for $250,000+
We are the lucky ones!

Yeah, unless you bought a new one at MSRP or above and plan to sell anytime soon!
