Checked out the new F90 M5

I was fortunate enough to sit my ass in a new M5.

1) The seats are stupid fantastic.
2) New steering wheel and instrument cluster is fantastic
3) Didn't get to drive it.

I've decided my next car will be comfortable 1st, fast 2nd.

This just may do the trick.

Do it! I traded my 18 M4 For one. New M5 is surprisingly athletic.

That's my dilemma. I only have a 2 car garage. I still love the M4.. and, no way I'm getting rid of the M2.

This is a serious problem. Lol.

I have the same problem. I also own a 17 Shelby GT350 and wife has an Suv. I started keeping 1 car at my business and just swap cars there.

Agreed. And if previous models are any indication, gently preowned examples will be available shortly for well under $100k.

I've been following the F90 a while but didn't catch the 6-figure MSRP. That's steep. Of the $120k sticker in OP there's only about $5k you could really, reasonably cut back. Then of course in less than a year there will be the competition pack (if I remember), then we're back into the $120s.

But yeah, if I didn't have a 1yo kid right now my mind would irrationally justify this type of purchase. Lucky guy I am to have a kid as an excuse for not breaking the bank on a car, instead on diapers and college funds - much more reasonable!

first 2-3 years these cars drop 60% of their price so if you are in no rush it will be pretty cheap soon

Hmmm, digital dash? I've driven BMW's with it (and a few other cars) and I'm not really fond of them.. Maybe I'm just too old school?

Probably. So what? Most cars are depreciating assets. Some more than others.

People were talking about the price point...I merely stated what I stated to say that if you don't want to spend $115K wait 18-24 months and save $40K.

I love those M1 and M2 buttons. I wish the ones on my F80 were like that. Were they always red paddles in M5s?

My wife has the digital dash in her 2017 X5 50i. I don't like it as well. Like when you accelerate, the needle motion is not so smooth. Analog gauges FTW

I just built one to 117,500 MSRP and the BMW payment estimate was $1530 with $2500 down (BMWs number). After a little while I don’t see $1400 being unrealistic. Especially if you are ok with a base car.
