No, it has not left the factory. I did ask specifically is it done and confirmed there no finishing work that needs to take place and they confirmed it is 100% done just waiting to be sent to the port...I just found it odd, and because like everyone here waiting I really want to drive the car

I just called BMW Genius on my car. It finished production on 10/13 and went to the dock on 10/17. They said to call back next week and they should have the ship name. Getting closer ...

We may end up on the same boat. Called on Tuesday and was told car was at the port as of 10/17.

My prod date was Sept 26, week 39. Anyone else on the Tortugas getting updates on when it will arrive at dealership?

My car was 'discharged' from the vessel already.

My car was on the Tortugas, it got off of the NYC port (which is apparently in New Jersey, not NYC, lol) yesterday on the 20th. Since my dealership is in Queens, it shouldn't take long to get there from VPC.. assuming there are no hold ups at the VPC, I should be expecting the car next week the 28th or 29th.

Well, my car arrived at the dealership on Saturday I believe. I'm picking it up today! From the NYC port arrival to being at my dealer, it took about 3 days.

Can't wait!

Bayside BMW, so around Queens.

If anything, make sure you speak to BMW Genius, as they're pretty accurate in terms of tracking where your car is. My car was scheduled to arrive on the 19th, but actually came on the 20th. So you have to ask for constant updates.

But yes, if you're around NYC then the wait time for the car to arrive at your dealer is not long at all. You have to hope for no hold ups at VPC, and then your car should be at your dealer shortly.

i have a satellite tracker which i constantly check to see the position of the vessel my car is on. after it offloads at port, from there did bmw genius have updates for you?

my free trial will be up by then. i used marinetraffic until the vessel went out into the atlantic today which i had to sign up for a satellite tracker.

Once you find out the name of your vessel, go to http://marinetraffic.com and create an account so you can add a vessel to your "fleet" to make it easy to track. only once the vessel sets out into the atlantic, you would need a satellite tracker. as you can see from my voyage thread http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1316126, i only started using the satellite once the vessel left southhampton. go to http://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Home.html and sign up for the "Satellite AIS" trial.
