Does anyone know if the PCD lets you do both the M car track as well as the X car "track/trail" or are you only allowed to do the type of car you are doing delivery on.

The trail is for the x series only. I'm not positive but I believe you only do the track intended for whichever car you purchased. Somebody please chime in if this is not correct!

I don't think this is true. They majority of the session is on a car that is similar to what you have bought.

The on track exercises yes. But there is an off road session in an X5 that everyone gets to do.

What is the average delay that people have been seeing for PCD vs. delivery to dealer?

I'll be ordering an M4 next week, and if the delay is around three weeks, I'll probably do PCD. Much more than that, and the wait will just about kill me.

I've done the M School twice already, but the extensive education and track time would be worth a few weeks wait.

How much track time do you get? If it's just a few laps, then maybe not...

To hold you over! I know exactly what that wait is like haha My PCD came and went 5/28, but definitely worth the wait!

Just watched it for the 3rd or 4th time. The wait is painful!

You're allowed one guest and no kids. No exceptions that I'm aware of.

They can't be under 12. You'd be fine if you want him to go...

Here are the requirements per the PCD email you receive:

Important Information:

· The delivery program is designed for the customer and one guest; additional guests cannot be accommodated, NO EXCEPTIONS.

· Your delivery day will start at 8am and conclude around 1pm.

· Participants must present a valid driver’s license (participants 15 to 17 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian).

· Child care services are not available. If your guest is a child under the age of 12, you will be required to accompany them in our café and will not be able to participate in any driving activities during the day.

· No pets are allowed at the BMW Performance Center and the Marriott hotel.

· Dress code is casual and comfortable. Completely enclosed shoes (no high heels, sandals, or clogs) are required.

· European Delivery customers, who have already taken delivery of their vehicle in Europe, will not receive a vehicle overview during re-delivery.

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Trying to figure out if it's worth my time to take that detour. We'll be driving from PCD to Indy. Going by the normal route, it would be an 8 hour drive (547 miles). If we do the detour to include the Tail of the Dragon, it would be a 9 1/2 hour drive (592 miles)... hmmmmm.

I'm thinking it'll be worth it... the wife who gets car sick may not, lol

appreciate it!

Only you and one other guest are allowed to come to the PCD experience. They make that very clear, and specifically state you can't call to ask for additional guests haha. Even kids can't come!

Hey man I drove back from SC to Illinois! I took the most messed up route in terms of distance/time. But it's not everyday I will drive back from SC so I made it count. I drove through SC, to Blue Ridge Parkway, to the Tail of the Dragon, then straight home. For some reason I got confused at the Tail of the Dragon and went back and forth 3 times.

PS like everyone I had enough blue painters tape with me to wrap the car twice (exaggeration)! But after seeing how sweet of a job PCD did on the detail of my car, I just drove conservative on highway, and winged it. Got home unscathed and after a quick wash, all was well.
