Week 34-35-36 Production!
Just got estimated start of production Week 35 for me (8/29 - 9/2/2016)... via Genius.
Could be tight turnaround - CA submitting my ED requested dates (1st/2nd week of Sep) today... Who else is in this timeframe? Last edited by NavyBeeker; 08-05-2016 at 07:03 AM.. Reason: Changing title of this thread |

Update as of 8/4: CA was out, called BMW ED toll-free #, they said my ED pickup date will be Mon 9/19. This is about 2 weeks later than I'd requested but the earliest they said they could do - pointed out they usually require 6 weeks lead time.
The rep also mentioned I am scheduled for week 34 production (not week 35 as a previous rep told me days before). I expect to hear confirmation from CA perhaps today with this same info. |

As for planning the ED travel - the later date starts to conflict with a needed work trip but will still squeeze it in. Think we'll be visiting a friend near Frankfurt for a few days before the pickup date, then take a train to pick up the car -- but will have to drop it back off the next day.
On the good side: American Airlines offers non-stop flights from Dallas to Frankfurt for "okay" prices! |

I just ordered a '17 M3 for West Coast dealer delivery. I was told August build and it should arrive in October.
On the top of my VIR, it says "Assigned to: W - 35". Does that mean it's a week 35 production? Seems inline with what I was told. I'm so excited to finally have an order placed and now I can join in on the fun. Side note, has anyone with a week 35 production been able to add 6CP Apple CarPlay to their order? |

Production week
Hey!
You need to get a full copy of your VIR from you CA. There's a page with a little car symbol/image that shows your Production (code) status. And, There's a page that shows the "On Order" date sequence of your build. Including, the following: __* "Quota:" - Which I presume means - Dealer Allocation month __* "Req. Prod.:" - ___"____"_____"__ - Requested Production (date) __* "Conf. Prod.:" - ___"____"_____"__- Confirmed Production (week) The "Assigned to" code on top has nothing to do with this. I think that's your dealerships' code. Cheers! |

Concur - the "Assigned to" appears to be my dealership ID.
OBTW - just logged into mybmwusa and it now recognizes my Prod Number (first success after about a half-dozen tries over last week or so)... have added the M3 and can now track it's production progress! Current status: Order Documented |

Week 38 Delivery - Production weeks?
I placed the order July 4th weekend for with individual color. I called yesterday and they told me eta/delivery is week 38. On BMWUSA it just shows car ordered under the tracking - so i have no insight to when the production is suppose to start / end.
Anyone has any idea on when production should be starting for week 38 delivery? |

As mentioned in the week 33 thread, my M3 has been moving back and forth. Latest is week 34. Hope it doesn't move again. The irritating bit is that I need to ask the dealer for detailed status every time and tracking points as I can't do it myself on the local bmw site even though I have a production order number and VIN. They said the car has to be registered in my name first to get access.

Not trying to be a downer, just giving you a heads up. My car was ordered beginning of April. I haven't received it yet. 4 months and still waiting. Stuck at VPC now waiting for rear differential. I originally had a week 19 production date, and the car ended up being week 26.
