Question 2016 M4 loaded except CCB & MPE quote

Hello guys,

Long time I have been here. Glad to be back.

Gave deposit on a 2016 M4 with pretty much everything on the list except CCB and MPE. I didn't feel for Competition Package either.

Got 5% off, is it good, average or was I completely ripped off?

The car should go in production in April for a delivery at the end of May.

Thanks!

You should have ordered the MY17, given by the time you get it, it's already near the end of model year, thus car can be viewed as being 1 yr old.

I knew about MY17 coming very soon but given some circumstances and odd timing, I decided to go with MY16 anyway still feeling very good about it.

I got 2% on a MY16, individual. I was and am still satisfied with it.

It is loaded except for CCB. Interesting enough, when working with the dealer they were willing to go in 50% for some other very individual upgrades I was considering (custom highlight trim on dash and wheel) but not on the stitching...I just opted for a less loud interior...

5% is amazing, was that Canbec? I've only gotten 2% at Laval because I just walked in to my previous salesman and ordered the car on the spot, it was my biggest impulsive purchase!
Btw don't feel bad about it being end of 2016, in the end all what matters for resale, is the condition of the car and most marketable/wanted features. Mine was also end of year 2015 production (June), I wanted to drive the car in the summer and enjoy it.

Got 5% + another 2% from being a BMW Clubs of Canada Member = 7% off MSRP.

Thanks guys, glad to hear that 5% is a good deal.

I bought it from BMW Laval. My salesman started at 3% and I said immediately that he could do much better since this would be my 3rd BMW with him and that I never make him work much to sell me cars. I come in, I know what I want and I'm out.

He asked how much I wanted and I said that if gave me 5% right now I would sign the papers right away.

Went to his manager and it took less than 40 seconds. 5%, OK!

And yes, I don't care about the fact that the model year is coming close to the end. Like you aboulfad I want to drive the car during the summer. Winters here are long enough like that.

I also received my Production order number today. Build is scheduled for April but don't know which week... Not sure what to do with the Production Order Number to track the car since there seems to be major differences in tracking capabilities between the US and Canada...

Quick questions:
1. Are you guys afraid to scratch the underside of the from bumper on speed bumps? Some of these things are so freakin' high... I know the Sports+ suspension setting is supposed to help for that but still. I'm sure I won't think about pressing the button all the time in front of a speed bump ...

2. With the potholes we have here in Quebec in general, how are your summer wheels/mags coping? Any of you took the Wheels Protection Package from BMW? I remember when I had the 335 xi coupe, sometimes I thought the car would break in half as the suspension was so bad (harsh) on the 2008 MY. One time it was so bad on the highway that driver side window came off it's railing at the top. Thought I would have a heart attack ;-)

Cool for the individual M4, for sure I've never seen one of those in person.

Unfortunately I'm not a member of BMW Club of Canada... Silly me... 7% is significant for a loaded M4.

Matching red on cf trim instead of black chrome? I'm curious what price BMW quoted you for that work?

The highlight trim to FR was $4050 (dealer would have given it to me for $1500) and the steering wheel trim in FR was $515 (dealer would have given it to me for $415).

I just have black chrome instead. But opted for the FR stitching on my extended leather which was $5230...

My 2% was for the BMW club. Even though this is my 7th BMW. I figured the wiggle room on my individual was minimal...

If you drive slow over them, it should be fine with a stock suspension. I shop and go everywhere, the only thing that scratches is when coming to a small incline and even with turning the wheels sometimes it does it. Hope you got the adaptive suspension option and you won't be driving on our roads in Sports+, too harsh, Sport setting is good and comfort in traffic! Will you be driving it downtown to work, where would you park daily?

I didn't take it, I only have a small 5mm scratch, not sure how it got there but most likely from a pothole. If you are worried about these things, get it but not sure if it covers small cosmetic repairs or not.

Btw, what is your build details? Maybe I missed it.

Yes, I drive and work downtown most of the time and the location I go varies greatly depending on which customers I have to visit. I always try to find an underground parking downtown even if some of them are so tight. Only at last resort will I park on the street as people (cars, bicycles and pedestrians) are too careless.

As for the details of my build (I think almost everything except MPE and CCB):

Very unique color combo, gratz! Just make sure you protect that SS interior first thing on delivery, but I found this leather to be resistant but not against dark jeans dye! Did u go for dark wheels?

Okay for the leather treatment. Good point as my wife and I love to wear jeans.

Yes, black wheels.

It's going to be very dark, I know, but I like it like that. At least there will be some brightness to it inside.

Some of the most aggressive looking Ms are black on black w black wheels, that's dark! Your color choices are incidentally the ones that are showcased for the BSM M4 in the official thread http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=938466

Ah, yes that post.

I've seen it a while back but in that lighting it's not impressive for sure.
And it looks like they just drove the car on the show floor and that was it. No detailing or even try to detail it for that matter...
