Check for proper break in period in used M3
I thought I would ask: is there a way of knowing if a used M3 was handled properly during the break in period? I guess I can ask for documentation of the 1200mile service, but beyond that is there anything else I should check?
Would you consider this a risk when buying a used M3? Thank you |

Just a thought, but perhaps a blackstone labs oil analysis might reveal something?
"Oil analysis can identify any problems developing in your engine long before they cause you an expensive headache. Or maybe you'd just like to get a good look at the microscopic wear your engine is producing." - from their site They also seem to have a test for transmission oil. I am not sure about diff oil though. |

Since BMW offers free maintenance and most people use the dealer for service its pretty easy to get a service history. Just ask the dealer for it. Every used car I looked at I asked for it and it was provided.
Also most cars on cars.com have both the carfax and service history. |

Thank you. I called the dealer and was told that a service was performed at 1,104 miles, which included a top-off fluids and safety inspection. Weren't they also supposed to change the oil and filter? (that's for a 2015 M3)
