Beautiful color and tastefully modded
A fun car should be driven daily, if possible....that's what I do!
Ppl tell me not to put miles on somewhat rare car....I'm like that's the best part to put miles on it and to enjoy those miles !

Really amazing looking car!

Only thing I'd change is that spoiler, a smaller one would look much better, and maybe raise the suspension a bit.

Gorgeous car and modifications! I hope I can own that many cars by the time I'm your age... only 4 years to go! I'm behind

The spoiler is the only thing that is extremely aggressive and it's purposely so. The car looses it playful yet elegant look that I was going for if I make the entire car subtle

How is the M3 with two kids? My wife has a 6-series GC and it's uncomfortable. Is the M3 any better? We have little kids, so they are in their car seats.

Just go buy the X5m... that'll do the job perfectly! I am in the same boat as you, cars just can never compare to SUV's

I already have an X5 so am covered on the SUV side. Just looking for a fun car that can also fit two young children (somewhat) comfortably.

I have a truck and suv so if there's a large family outing we take the big truck usually. If it's just hauling my kids to breakfast or something easy then I'll definitely load them into the M.

2 front facing seats is cakewalk. If you have one in a rear facing... that's a no go.

This is so well said! And your car is gorgeous.

This is exactly why I've ordered an M2 Competition.

I've always wanted to do European Delivery (it's been on my bucket list for over 10 years), and with the F80 out of production, it was my only real option. I'd much prefer a sedan (to replace my E36 328k), but I'll have to wait for the next M3 for that.

I currently own a Cayman GT4, which has also always been my dream car (well, it was a GT3, but still). The car is amazing, but I almost never get to drive it. It's basically a pure toy, and most of the time I do take it out I'm stuck in traffic. I've had a lot of fun with it on the track, but those days are few and far between.

I end up driving my E36 almost any time I need to drive somewhere (rain, shine, snow, passengers), and it's kind of falling apart at this point (I've had it for 8 years). It's also stock, so it's not the most fun thing to drive (although I do love it).

I had debated getting an M3 before, but figured now was a good time to get a 2-door sports car, and fulfill my lifelong Porsche GT car dream. So I bought the GT4 in 2016, and while I do love driving it, I'm not really attached to it like I am with the BMW.

I'm really looking forward to picking up the M2C, as I'm going to treat it like a daily. I don't care about the mileage, I won't be precious about driving it in bad conditions or on dirt roads, and I'll be able to take people with me if I'm going to a cottage or on a camping trip.

I'm lucky enough to be able to keep the GT4, so I'll still have that (and may trade it in for the new one), but I think I'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the M2C, because it's the car that'll get driven.

The part I'm really sad about is losing the E36, but it'll stay in the family as I'll be giving it to my sister.

If anyone wants to read my long boring car history story, you can find it: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1265031

As a daily driver - its a no brainer. I thought I could manage but a 997.2 gt3 can only be truly enjoyed on the wide open road.

I'm 6'2 - 240. I sat ON the seats and not IN them. Just didn't fit right. I loved it when I could slam the gears and rip a mountain up. But 95% doesn't involve that and therefore I had to do the sensible choice and buy another M3 and drop 20k on aftermarket parts

I had an itch, I scratched it and now I'm back
Dang wish I had that sensibility!

For awhile I had 3 in the back of mine- 2 forward facing seats on the sides and a small booster in the middle.

I think since you got a DCT you're more inclined to hold the GT3 in high regard because you're driving an automatic now and you lust for that 3rd pedal again.

To each their own
Sounds like a personal problem, pal. lol

BMW manuals suck. DCT is a godsend for this brand. It's a much tougher decision in Porsche GTX land. Plus we all know that the flat 6 NA sound is mellifluous and the S55... just very very unique.

Hope your son some day appreciates how much money his old man dumped to drive him around. #1!!!!
