UPDATE FOR EVERYBODY! Just got these same tires installed.... right off the bat out of the tire lot, WOW!

They were amazing in every aspect. Compared to the stock PSS, They're quieter, they're smoother, they provide an insane amount of grip (dry weather as of now). The could hands down be the best tires for the 275/35/19 ratio as of now.

AND THEY LOOK GREAT!!!

Here's some photos:

Killer looking tire.

Strange that the Belgian Bridgestone website is showing me only the S001 and LM-32 for the M4:

Why would tireracks site be inaccurate? Seems strange they would be out of production since they are standard on so many cars now.

Can't find these in Sweden either and when I look at european distributors they are AWOL too. So I guess it is a US specific tire or at least very limited to where it is sold.

So what the hell are we supposed to do if we get one flat that can't be repaired? This is idiotic.

I'm really skeptical that such a popular tire would just go out of production unless they're phasing it out for a new variant like a Pilot Super Sport 2.

I think more likely it's just Michelin struggling to keep up with demand.

I have always thought that repairing high speed tyres (Z) is a very very short temp fix and that the tyre should be replaced asap. I am not sure that it is even allowed in every country. Correct me if I am wrong.

I guess it depends on what you are using it for. If you track your car, then you probably don't want to race on patched tires.

My last M3 and current M4 have both had nail punctures. I patched both of them and never had a problem... I don't track my car though.

Did you end up going with the stock size for the front as well?

Seems like they are catching up with demand again a little bit... the last few days of ED pickups have been mostly PSS from what I can tell from posts on here..

A tiny off topic but I had to ask: does the M3/4 come with the ZP (run flats) variant of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport? My dealer insisted that they were run flats! Fuming.

And I'm sure the manufacturers get first dibs over regular retailers.

If you can, work with someone else. The person who said that obviously doesn't deal with M cars. No M3/M4 comes with Runflats.

You can tell that you oversized them. The sidewalls bubble out.

So I put about 130 miles on the new RE71's today, primarily interstate roads trying to get up to 300+ before next weekend. These are 265/35-19 front and 285/35-19 rear.

Slow Speed: getting out to HWY 290 I have to go through a concrete surfaced 4 lane, speeds around 45, lots of closely spaced expansion strips. The tires are much quieter and softer feeling than the PSS, almost no impact noise or harsh bumps from the expansion joints. This short cut runs through an industrial park with lots of heavy trucks so is not in the best of shape. Naturally I wasn't going crazy here but the handling feels like a little quicker turn in than the PSS tires.

High Speed: we'll just call this 70+ to be on the safe side of the law. It seemed to me that the actual tread noise is about the same as the PSS, but again over expansion strips or repairs in the road it was much quieter than before. The ride is much more comfortable. Handling felt very buttoned down, no unwanted movement and well controlled in high speed passing.

Normally I would say this was all in my mind and just trying to justify choosing these tires, but even my wife noted how much quieter the ride was. And she hasn't been wrong once in the last 39 years.

Nevertheless the official max speed is 120km/h but I live near the border with Germany (autobahn).
