Just ordered my first M

And it's the F80 M3

YMB, Black extended interior, Aluminum interior, DCT, 19" Alloy Wheels, M adaptive suspension, executive pkg, enhanced USB...done

Can't wait to finally see her!!

I am scheduled for 32nd week production date, can I hope for a Sep delivery? Here is a production date (Yr/Mo/Wk) my dealer sent me, I don't really understand it though:

Production Dates [Yr/Mo/Wk]
Req. Prod: 2014/05/19
Sub. Prod.: 2014/05/19
Conf. Prod.: 2014/07/31
Quota: 2014/5

Also there is a Aug annual shutdown? How can this effect my delivery date

Anyways, just a long wait from now on...

Cheers for the M!!

I added detail to give you clarity. You have a confirmed production date of August 2014 in Week 31 which means you can do a Welt delivery as close as 8 days from the end of Week 31 (July 27-Aug 2nd). It looks like they are building your car before the August long holiday break and prior to the Plant closing from 11 to 22 August 2014. The Welt However remains open in August so you should be able to confirm a delivery date in Early to Mid August! As you probably know I am leading a large group doing Welt Delivery and majority of our cars are being made right before we get there. Your september delivery is a go but if you want to get your car earlier I see no reason why a Mid-August date for your trip can't happen, good luck!

Thanks for the explanation! So my production date is August 31st? I thought it's gonna be the first week of August, since my dealer told me it's the 32nd week of the year.

It is also amazing to find that it takes only 8 days for them to make such a monster car....

I did not discuss buying option with them actually. My dealer just confirm the price will be MSRP that's all.

I am thinking to trade in my 535i and financing the rest.

Isn't the last number the week of the year? So week 31 of 2014 which would be July 28th thru August 3rd...

You are correct. I misunderstood as if dealer had converted the date to an actual date rather than giving a week number. @meanlean Please see my edited comment to my original post for a precise description of what you can do-good news!

Hello Suave, thank you very much for the update, this is so exciting! My wife and I were indeed thinking of doing an ED, but our daughter is still a little young and I don't think a road trip is practical now.
I saw the post about the group ED, OMG it's gonna be so awesome! Is the Welt preparing any special treatment for you guys? There are gonna be 20+ F8X Ms line up on that day, that's some lifetime special treatment already! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Actually it's more like 35 if you count the Canadians in... and I bet there'll be some more as also Germans/Europeans can take advantage of the Welt delivery (just that is not called European Delivery then ).

So I assume that there'll be around 50 M cars on that day (or on Monday and Tuesday)... the Welt will have an awesome sound that day! Excited!!!

I just ordered today!! My first M! Got $2,200 off MSRP so I'm happy considering the discounts being given.

M3, Executive Package, Adaptive M Suspension, CF Roof, Extended Black Leather, Alpine White, Manual Transmission.

I think the dealer told me last week of May production and I should expect delivery at the earliest in September. My 135 lease is up in Feb. and the dealer confirmed that BMW will be honoring pull-aheads until Dec. so if it comes in Sept. I should be able to get out of my 135 lease free & clear!

Nice build I am wondering why a May production is scheduled for Sep delivery, it usually takes them 6 weeks from date of production to delivery, which includes building the car and shipping it to your local dealer

And all the people that getting discount off MSRP, I am jelly!! Is there anyone in Cali is able to pull off a good deal?

Congrats. My first BMW and M as well. M3 Alpine White. I saw the YMB at the Chicago auto show. It was too light for my tastes, but lots of people walking by liked it. Picking mine up at the Welt August 20th. Can't wait!
