The steel brakes have been just fine for street driving. They look small, but they get the job done. I would only drop the 10k for the ceramic if I were tracking the car.

The transmission is perfect. Same an in the M6 and M5, however because the car is so much lighter the shifts feel even quicker. On Shift Setting 3 the transmission feels like it propels you forward each shift, and then the huge torque from the twin turbo 6 comes it and suddenly your all alone on the road.
I had a go with a 458 spider today and held my own. I stayed with him up to 80, even beat him off the line, but he started to pull on the M4 after 80. |

Most BMWs Ive had come with rattles. There are definitely some rattles in this M4, coming from a few places, but hopefully these fill be fixed on the later production runs.

Yes yes and yes. The Black x 3 looks amazing. I have never been a fan of black wheels, especially on black cars, but that is due to how ugly most of the matte black wheels are. This car in sapphire black shines and changes color in the light, and the wheels are a shiny two tone that adds a lot of character to the look of the car. Once I have the window tint put on the car will look amazing.

That car is amazing! I got black on black on black, loaded with CCBs so this gives me a great idea of how great my car is going to look. Nicely done, enjoy!

Just noticed in your post #7 you state your trunk doesn't pop all the way open when you hit the trunk button in car or fob? You may need to get this looked at bc mine flies open with ease each time and so does the other 3 I have come across.

Also, does your exhaust sound like a broken lawn mower at cold start? Mine sounds like a defective exhaust job, but the sound totally goes Away once the flaps open. What do u think? |

^^Yea the exhaust sounds a little crappy on cold start. The car seems to always start in comfort or sport it won't start in sports plus from what I can gather. But yes one of the things I don't like about the car is the exhaust.
Also I got a flyer in my trunk that shows the descriptions to put your foot under the bumper and the trunk will open however I have not yet been able to replicate that or make it happen and I wasn't aware it had it. But I have had the car since monday and only driven it a hour here and there and have a totally 45 miles on the clock so I am still playing with stuff as Im sure you are as well get your trunk fix though for sure

That would be great if the foot swipe works! I have about 300 miles now. I wish I had more time to take it on some drives but I'm staying focused on the bar until Aug. 1st. Then, it's road trip time!

Spencer, can you do me a favor?
Since you have passive suspension, can you post a picture of the MDDC display in the gauge cluster? See pic below for what I mean: I am curious what it looks like since the suspension section does not apply. |

I had not seen the trunk lines, nor many of the tech updates. I am trying to be patient but ugh, this is the toughest wait I've ever had for a vehicle. |

You know, after taking a second look. The M4 is by far the best looking packaged
OEM-Black on Black-BMW that I have ever seen. It is aggressive, yet classy. Dark, yet defined. Bold, yet sleek. Just absolutely terrific execution, and definitely a combo I wouldn't mind sporting. Enjoy in good health! Edit- Quick question, do you think those updates for the HUD and IDrive would be, or are going to be programable upgrades for existing vehicles? For instance, my wife drives a 2014 5 series GT, do you think that will be able to be upgraded? Thanks! Chris Last edited by ChrisMT79; 06-21-2014 at 01:38 PM.. |

Thanks! I agree that black on black is the best look for this car.
I think you should be able to program it by a vendor. Try contacting V12 on the forums. I've heard he is the best. Here are some more pics: |

Thanks for posting more pics, Spencer25.
Any comment on my question in post #56? If you don't have a pic or have time for one, maybe you can just quickly describe what it looks like? |
