That is a nice bonus for those shelling out for individual colours. Easier to keep clean if it is clear coated.

My '17 Nardo M3 is not cleared under the hood. Pretty strange that they use different processes for the same colors.

It's almost like a game of paint roulette.

Cleared engine bays look so much nicer. I need to demand this on my next one.

wow if the engine bay is that dusty, i hope you have absolute faith in those aftermarket filters sitting behind the grille in direct flow

definitely a filtration test environment right there, pull the filter off and run your finger around the intake pipe directly behind it

Yeah, definitely wasn't expecting it to be so dusty when I opened the hood. MSR claims these filters are chillin but I'll check it out

I just took delivery of my individual Sunburst Gold F80 and the bay is not cleared. I'm old school and don't like cleared engine bays anyways. Lol.

I didn't realize that non-cleared engine bays was an "old school" thing. I better go tell all of the oldie-but-goodies with customized older muscle cars [with fully painted/cleared engine bays] that they aren't old school enough.

Lol. Old school as in my old days when my low-end cars didn't come with cleared bays.

I purchased the car while I was in SoCal attending a work conference and visiting my wife. I happened to drive my 4Runner down from NorCal (where I live) because I brought my Great Dane/Boxer down with me. I couldn't get the M back up to NorCal so it's currently sitting in my wife's garage in SoCal. I purchased a plane ticket to fly down next weekend to pick it up and bring it to NorCal, where I'll take some proper pictures. The Cohiba Brown on Fashion Gray is amazing in person and I'm really happy with the pick-up. Thanks for the interest.
