Rust on splitter bolts
I decided to back out the 5 bolts holding the orange splitter in place and discovered that a majority of them had rust at the tips. This would explain why it was impossible to back some of them out.
Anyone have this issue? |

the rust is not your issue. the bolts have Loctite on them from the factory to prevent them from backing out under extreme vibration.

I got a spare set from the dealer. Easy to swap out but haven't taken mine all the way out yet to see.

Loctite for sure. Got the bolts out to replace orange splitter with Fall Line Motor Sport version. (Keeping original safe in the garage.) Used the same bolts back in.
