Your logic is pretty flawed.

F8x even used costs well more than 25k more than an e92. New we are talking 40k+.

F8x have HORRIBLE resale value. You'll lose 10k a year just owning an M4.

In the end you're still stuck w/ a F8x, its numb feeling, and horrible exhaust.

And thats why I sold my F8x comp for an E92 Comp

Why the change of heart? Do you remember what you used to say about the f8x?

I remember you were a strong proponent of the F8X previously. Only reason I remember is because I spent a lot of time comparing e92 comp vs f8x on this board, even when I finally decided to go F8X. You were adamant in your decision many times. Still looking to get a e92 M one day though, just for the S65.

Most of that stuff is still true. The F8x is hands down faster and a better performer. No arguing that. It's a good looking car and the interior is an upgrade.

In the end it came down to exhaust and steering feel. My car is just a weekend cruiser and in the end those items are more valued than being really fast. My e92 is a turd.

Plus half the fun of the vs section is talking smack.

Agreed. Prices don't seem similar to me at all

What are you comparing that you see $25k?? An 08 vs a 15?? If so, then no shit there's gonna be a massive difference in price. You're talking 7 years. I for one wouldn't buy some 10 year old E92. iDrive is trash, taillights are trash, no bluetooth audio, no ZCP, etc. You clearly didn't want to either since you got ZCP model. Only thing good about it was the exhaust note and steering. F8x is superior in every other way. I owned one for 4 years so I would know, plus it was a daily not a some garage queen for the weekend.

And that's great that you love the E92. I'm not here to shit on it. I loved mine but now that I'm in the F82, I don't miss it at all. The power of it makes up for it's terrible exhaust tone. That's all I miss is the downshifts. I'm glad you enjoy your E92. I would never get rid of my M4 for another one though.

No. An 11 zcp e92 can easily be had for 30-33k. A decent 16 zcp M4 was mid 50s last I checked.

Again, you didn't specify you were comparing ZCP vs ZCP models. Regardless, there is still a 5 year difference between the two. So I would hope to see a difference in depreciation like that. It's not like the M4 holds value like a 911 or something.

Uhm it clearly says zcp for both. Not sure what you're reading.

Look at your original statement. You said an F8x costs $25k more than a used E92. Nowhere did you mention they were both ZCP until after you said what you traded.

After trading mine in, I can definitely say depreciation was horrible. Nearly half it's value in 3 years and 56k miles.

It's like that with nearly all of these type of cars though, AMGs are probably the worst. You don't buy one of these as an investment. You buy a Porsche for that lol
