M4CS low oil
After taking my 2019 M4cs to the shop to have the pcv valve and oil pan gasket replaced I checked the oil level and it said it was at minimum and to add a quart. I looked at the invoice and it said they added 7 quarts and the CS takes 8 quarts so I added .6 quarts to see if it would change the reading and it is still at minimum. Should I be scared to add anymore? Thanks for the help

Is either low on oil or your sensor is bad. Sensor goes bad, it has happened here and there. If you keep adding oil and says it's still low, the sensor is the culprit. Sensor is mounted on oil pan.

I suggest taken the car on a 20 minute drive to get the oil nice and hot, then remeasure it, then measure it again to truly verify that the level is correct.

Check if the spacer is installed it’s goes between the the oil sensor. If the spacer isn’t installed it shows low.
I wouldn’t add more oil if you don’t have any oil leaks. If you’re missing the spacer you can order it from Bimmerworld |

Take it back to the shop. They seemed to have messed something up so it's their responsibility to fix it.

As has been said many times, if only someone would invent something like a metal rod, perhaps with a minimum and maximum marker on it, that you could quickly pull out and see exactly how much oil was in your car. Probably could call it a dipstick or something.
Honestly it boggles my mind that BMW have gone all electric for measuring oil
