BMW M4 Coupe Concept to debut at Pebble Beach Concours in August!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com M4 is more the car to convince seeing as it dispenses with history in order to forge a new beginning with a new icon. The car will be unveiled at Pebble Beach and then flown back to Germany where it will be displayed at the IAA in Frankfurt in September. Both M3 and M4 are being presented at the NAIAS in Detroit along with the production BMW X4.

This is HUGE! What about the M3?
As I said in my last post, I have a feeling that we could get the ordering before the end of 2013 (in Europe at least). |

Nice. As far as I remember the engine type of the M5 was confirmed with the Shanghai concept M5 unveil even if no performance numbers were confirmed. Hopefully they'll do the same with the concept M4 and we will know the engine type very soon. Even more important for me is the steering system. If it's EPS I need a year to get used to the idea...

Wow, that's big news and a bit surprising. I guess they really are going out of their way to put the emphasis on the coupe form factor and not so much on the M3 name. I suppose they really want to hammer home the new M4 branding before talking about the old name being repurposed just for the sedan.
Looking forward to seeing this, and hopefully getting at least a little more engine and chassis info at the time it is unveiled. |

'Concept' M cars have been cosmetically quite similar to the production cars in recent history, no? (I'm thinking of the M5 and M6 concepts)
Either way, can't wait to see this car! |

yeah last time the concept was on old style csl wheels from an e46 and the rest was production. the m5 concept was basically production minus the mirrors. lol BMW may as well not call it a concept and just call it the official unveiling.

Looks like I will need to go black tie charity event to NAIAS this year to guarantee a chance to actually sit in the thing lol.

Too much is being made of the name change for the coupe. Shakespear said it best:
