when a private seller advertises their car as a Director car I always throw up a little bit, so the seller is a complete wanker, I would low ball him and see if he takes it
Apart from that these M4's for 110k are so much car for the money, I paid that for a 1M many years ago now |

It is a lot of ks for a 1 year old car but at 32k kms it should still be like new.
I've used http://www.stateroads.com.au/ before and other people recommend them. Australia wide too. Though I doubt you'll find much with those sorts of kms. Though I would like to see that it has been service at least twice in that time frame but with long service intervals maybe not. |

I just sold my Lotus Exige V6 S and the company the buyer used for pre-purchase inspection was State Roads. Was very impressed by the guys knowledge who came out. Their "prestige" assessor dealt with a lot of their more exotic range (Maserati's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's etc) but knew all the ins and outs and what to look for.
They took LOTS of photo's, and I believe had a very detailed discussion with the buyer about the condition of the car. If I were buying a car, I'd want someone like that doing the assessment for me too. I don't believe they're cheap, but I was impressed with their thoroughness. |

What do you guys think of a 2014 build October, 2015 compliance and registered in May. It's done 10,000km and pretty much looks brand new. How much would guys offer or how much do they go for? (In alpine white)

Like property it makes me sick how much people can ask for something not brand new - on the other hand being three days away from a 2017 ZCP M3, I'll be quite happy with resale Dig deeper, put in more overtime - get than new car! If you can do $100k, you can do 140ish to get a brand new car (sharpen those barter skills...).

I don't think you can get it for $100k unless maybe it was driven 30-40,000km? On the other hand the m4 would be more than 140k brand new don't you think ? And also there seems to be no point getting it brand new to instantly lose 20-30k in a few years in my opinion. I guess it's different if you can afford that kind of depreciation.

There are currently 8 M3's for sale for (roughly) $110k or less. One of them will sell for $100k with a bit of perseverance. In fact there is a white 2014 for asking $101k (SA) with only 15k on it, so you can probably do better with a bit of effort. These cars are relatively hard to sell second hand (I am looking to buy an M4 convertible at the present and maybe 1 sells every 2 weeks and at deep discounts to original asking prices). The car that started this thread in mid December remains for sale and its near the end of February -it has probably been from sale for 3 or 4 months. Last edited by miro67; 02-22-2017 at 04:14 PM.. |

There is at least 10 low km M4's from 2014 and 2015 availabale asking $115-120k. That means $105-110 with some patience. In fact there is a white 2016 with 6,000k on it for $122k, which at say $115k is probably not bad buying.

Bear in mind, the longer the dealer keeps the car, the more the car will "cost" the dealer. If you're financing the car, it may well be cheaper to buy a new one- which seems to be attainable around $130k. This gives you the bonus of a warranty and servicing.

Are there any dealers you guys recommend when purchasing brand new ?
Or a particular sales person you guys have dealt with that can look after their customer instead of ripping them off ? I'd be keen to know. Cheers |

Mo at SouthBank BMW is the best person to speak to.
They are a BMW Australia dealer so have a lot of stock as well as M accessories. To answer your previous question, I was quoted $150k for a new (Nov 2016 build), alpine white, ZCP by a dealer in Sydney. I was told at the time they were overstocked with M4's so there may have been room to negotiate, but I was after an M3. Lowest I've managed to get on a new M3 (late 2016 build with ID5), ZCP in white is $139k. No idea how people are getting lower than this - clearly I suck at negotiating. |
