I refuse to order anything without a test drive. While they are great cars, the important thing is that they need to be great to YOU - the buyer. Although a test drive doesn't tell the whole story, it does give you a good first impression.

I got a chance to do both the M4 coupe and convertible to compare them.

It will depend on the dealer, but also on how credible you appear to be as a customer.

Mine was the standard dealer drilled bracket on the middle front bumper. However, I was wondering, would it be possible to "twisty tie" it to the mash at the lower part of the front fender / bumper? lol Would it be secure enough? Would it damage the fender? Would it be legal?

hehe

@sunnyboy if you attach it to the mesh, won't that restrict airflow for the inter cooler?

Bumping this thread.

Wooo! My car made it to Halifax. For those in Toronto, how long did it take for your car to get from Halifax to the dealer?

Less then a week depending, you should check with your salesperson to be sure.

I had to turn off traction control to navigate some side streets downtown even with the WRX. I can only imagine how hard it would have been with the M4.

Yes very day, and with the snows I have on my M4 (LM-60) I have no problems on the roads or highways, just took my time, and I drive from Downtown Toronto to Guelph. No issues, and no getting stuck!

Ditto here. M3 with Nokians are handling very well especially on that crappy slushy snow/ice combo. Happy so far.

Good to hear! I have to say I was a little nervous because of amount of torque in the F80/F82. I ordered an F82 two weeks ago and I'm currently in an M Performance 335i xDrive which also has tons of torque but it's a pleasure to drive in the snow with the AWD and Blizzak's.

My M4 so far has been OK so far this winter and I commute about 140 kms/day.No dramas at all and it does go a lot better in the snow with all the nannies turned off but the side windows get very dirty rather quick
I am on Bridgestone LM32's in 19".

The MDM is way too intrusive to use so I turn everything off when driving in snow.I have owned a lot of high power RWD vehicles that I drove in winters long before we had traction & stability control.Just use a tall gear & softest throttle setting and you should be good to go!

Ha! I'm really looking forward to getting back into a RWD M car. My last 2 BMW's have been xDrive and although they're great in winter I do miss being sideways from time to time! That said the launch control feature combined with xDrive and MPPK in my F30 is pretty awesome! Anyone here looking forward to xDrive as an option on future M3/M4?
