i had a c63 and tracked it and they were fine with a helmet.

Doubt it was crashed on purpose for the sake of testing.
I sit fairly upright in My E92 with my helmet on I never have issues with the head restraints. Perhaps it's the helmet shape/size. I use an Arai GP-6. But I wouldn't mind lighter seats with more lateral shoulder support. |

Perhaps in your world, for most it's an upgrade and in a Porsche a $6K option. No doubt they will offer 100 pound, 99-way power adjustable, massaging, air conditioned lounge seats also, which I would take since it's a DD.

Prototype cars don't run on public days. And especially not at the weekend The track is closed only for industry pool cars and those test days take place during the week.

It's quite common for prototypes that are used for track testing to have aftermarket race seats and cages installed for safety. Don't get your hopes up just based on this one report.

Yes but we would not take time to cover race seats in leather and Carbon Fibre just for testing. These cars are far more advanced final prototypes but the end is apparent , After testing they will be destroyed.
