"Unable to Save" memory buttons

When trying to save Weather or HP / Boost dials and other items I had in iDrive5, I get an Unable to Save response. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue with my 2018. I'm able to save phone # and Navigation Locations and radio stations. Just curious, have you done any coding on your car? I noticed my stopped saving after I had some items coded.

None. I just picked up the car last week.

my car was recently just re-coded by BMW NA and i can't save either. of course there's a host of other issues with my car at the moment so this is the least of my worries, but still same problem as you're having. my headlights flicker incessantly, the auto up/down on driver side window doesn't work, my driver side view mirror keeps just dropping down to pointing at the road, and none of my idrive stuff works. this is after they claimed they fixed it too (they did, for 25 minutes, and then it went right back to the problems)

Have any of you tried saving these things with disconnected from CarPlay????

I ran into a few such situations as well. What I found was after I went back up 1 level on the I-Drive manual, I was able to save that command into the button. Not sure if it is the solution to your specific problem. Give it a try.

Try this. Don't actually select the option you want, just put selection box around it, and then push and hold memory button.
