Quick question. Would cars coming from Halifax to Ottawa typically use rail for transport? or trucks?

Yes trucking will be quicker for sure. However I am not sure if the dealer is willing to do that because the cost is significantly higher.

I suspect its still waiting in Halifax for a rail car, as E92LNGCGY has been kindly checking to see if my car is on the rail and he hasn't seen it come up on the system yet. |

Seriously? 3 weeks? Is there anything the dealer can do to make sure it goes on the train asap? I asked my sales guy to see if he can request that my vehicle be trucked over instead.. don't know how that would go.

Dealer can request urgent loading onto rail car but at the end it is up to the logistics company. If you are in the west then the chances of trucking may be very slim.

And PS - what I heard today from my dealer on the car's delivery status was exactly the same as the information provided by E92LNGCGY - many thanks to him for the valuable service. And PPS - E92LNGCGY - let's hear about your new car! |
