2018 Adaptive LED + Anti-Dazzle Issue

2018 M4 - got the car coded and turned up the brightness of the lights, anti-dazzle and adaptive thing as well.

Now at night it seems like it's just the brights are on (even without them turned on). The beam shaping thing does not work (but I can see the bright signal on the dash going on and off when cars are coming).

It just seems the brights are always on, I get flashed at night non stop. When I turn my brights on manually at night I see no difference between the normal lights and brights, nothing changes.

I was one of the first, if not the first, 2018 M4 with adaptive LEDs coded at the place I went to. Anyone else run into this or what could be the issue? Getting flashed constantly at night is annoying and I think I'm blinding people.

Is there any way to re-set this without coding since the place I went to is 2 hours away... Thanks.

2018 headlight coding is a little bit different. When I did my car coding in EAS, Tom saw the difference and took few hrs to make it work. The high beam(bottom light) was always on. You might have same problem.

No way to set without recoding, but it can be done remotely rather than drive 2 hours. Also, if you have copy of your coded files, I can take a look to see if done correctly.

So did It work properly and then just suddenly stopped working? I'm thinking of getting my '18 coded but hesitant because coders might not be familiar the '18 yet.

No - it's always been like the brights are always on. I've just been gone a ton and barely had time to drive it since coding about 5-6 mos ago.

How do you remote code? Do you need a special device or anything? I don't have the code files...

Computer with Windows 7-10 (native or VM) + ENET cable + Coding Software + Teamviewer/Wifi for remote connection.

It works if done correctly, but not if only VO coded or using incorrect chassis settings.

Has anyone found a solution in being able to activate properly functioning Anti-Dazzle in 2018 icon adaptive LEDs?

I tried for a bit to get mine working, but the right headlight continued to dazzle oncoming traffic. Otherwise they worked semi-OK. I coded back to US spec.

FlyingLow, I hadn’t seen this thread before. The issues you were experiencing with your GFHB setup may have been caused by any brightness changes that seem to have been coded in as well (?). Now that you have a decent handle on using e-sys, you might want to try and recode GFHB yourself. I believe you’ve already VO coded your FLEs back to US spec, so any brightness settings that were changed by your coder should be back to their default settings. Just make sure to use the current version of Tokenmaster’s Launcher to avoid cheat code errors.
