I still think in real world driving the manual is quicker. You can't rev it and drop the clutch with the DCT. Its kind of just locked. The DCT is crazy how fast it upshifts though!!

Fantastic! I've been really impressed with the 6MT. Have always had them. This is the closet MT I've driven that matches the original miata 5MT. Its really well done, I LOVE it. Thought pedal felt a little light initially as others have said, but its totally fine. Still with there was a switch other than Sport+ to turn off Auto-blip.

Coming from DCT in my F10 M5, i ordered my F80 with the manual. The DCT is fun on upshifts but i really miss the clutch pedal. DCT with clutch pedal would be awesome! Not needed to shift but there if you want to get revs up and drop it. Ir decouple the drivetrain to coast.

AGREED. Mine finally went into production today. And with this thread it is further solidifying my decision to remain with another BMW manual transmission. Enjoy your new M4 as well man! See you on the road in LA.

My car should end production in 2 days. What completion date do you have? Our cars might take a boat ride together to LA
