No chance that CCB are standard. Regarding the interior materials, see the original press release and the recent pictures from the auto show debut in LA (both linked in the OP).

Just like the E36 LTW that sat on dealers lot for extended amounts of time that were being sold below MSRP. Now try to find one not selling for double of the MSRP.

Dealers couldn't get rid of the E30 M3 when the MSRP in 1988 was around 35k. Now look at the values.

I think all of these haters will realize what the GTS is/was years from now.

Indeed. A vastly better deal than an M3CS would be a Porsche 911T with a Manual Transmission and only 1 or 2 options, which will come out to slightly above $100k. The beauty of the 911T is that the engine is now turbo too, so although it only comes with 370hp, it can easily be tuned/modified for power levels on par with a GT3 or an M3CS for that matter. But if you really need the utility the M3 is the better choice.

nice job for BMW to make more money from those who want a last year and limited production M3.

Interesting price.

I went on the configurator and the most expensive M3 I could build (without upgraded warranty/service plans) was $99,193. This include individual paint, interior, trim and all the little accessories.

Too bad BMW doesn't follow Porsche's strategy with the 911 GTS model. Porsche basically include a bunch of stuff as standard, tweak the power and offer it for LESS than what you would build a la carte on a 911 C2S. BMW is clearly charging more for the same.

I don't think it takes "hate" to question the value of a car. Just saying.

In any case, you may very well be correct about the GTS. But the M3/M4 CS? I have my doubts they will appreciate at any faster rate than a ZCP M3/M4 will. And in fact, in the near term, then may very *depreciate* at a faster rate.

I think with the pricing of the M3 and M4 CS models it makes the GTS look like a deal and with the limited run a better investment if that matters to the buyer. I'm not really surprised where the CS model pricing came in at. Wishful thinking that these models weren't going to hover around 100k.

Thats BMWs point. to make this their competitor. if porsche is getting those prices, why cant they? People are still paying it and they have the m2 to fill the void left in the lower end to be the e46 m3 replacement when it comes to pricing.

This is m5 pricing and the m5 has moved up in price as well. car pricing has gone bonkers in recent years. a loaded toyota camry is 42k now...

Agree. However, it seems particularly unlikely to me that someone who is considering a sedan can genuinely get by with a car that has not only has only two doors, but also has no back seats.

A potential M4 CS buyer might be in a position to make that tradeoff though, yes.

Nor am I. We already had a pretty good idea. But, this would seem to indicate that the M4 CS will cost over $100k (say, at least $105k) given the OLED tail lights. Many were hoping for a price slightly under $100k for that car, but if for no other reason, the presence of the M3 CS was likely the death knell for that possibility.

Yes definitely. How could they dream of charging the same for the CS as Porsche charges for an amish edition 911 without a LSD!! The nerve!!!

Fortunately this car will be purchased by people interested in M3s and performance, not posers who would prefer to hard park their car and use the badge on the hood as a proxy for the length of some body parts

This car makes sense if you want all that from he factory already, assuming you can get one for MSRP.

You can look at it the other way and do all of that yourself for considerably less money. I guess it just depends on your thought process, really.
You're right I speced my 18 M4 to be at around 113 after taxes and warranty
That is ridiculous lol

No thanks.

Mine is full individual w/o CCB for way less in 2018. Just for the hood? Nope.

I'm getting Brembo 380mm.

Bigger posers than the ones who say things like 'Over 100k it's automatically 911 territory'?

Absolutely correct. The 911 will at least have the performance to back it up. The CS is not faster than a competition package car. The fact that only 500 are coming stateside means Bmw gouging an already overpriced car.

You can get a nearly new M4 GTS for under 100k these days. I’d certainly go for that car before a CS though again, at the price I’d pick up a 2010 GT3 instead.

While I was all about to give all my money to buy the M3 CS, it is $7,000 too much for my liking (so not really all my money). At that price, might as well go with an M5 or a 911. Looks like normal comp pack for me!

Now that I think about it more, I do not see where the market is on this car. Maybe we will have some discounted versions late next year when these do not sell for that price like they think it will.
