I probably would have lifted had I watched that but didn't know better at the time.

My e92 on 265/245 re71 r, no aero and stock suspension felt fine so I don't think its a matter of needing better suspension.
Aaron and the Speed Ventures team discussed Turn 1 at length at the mandatory Drivers meeting...so I'm not sure why there would be confusion about it. I always lift and go easy through it and give up a couple seconds, but I'm out there to have fun and not bend my M against that wall!

You'll be fine. I just got greedy and took too much speed into the bank, and was in the wrong position as well. It was a combination of bad things that lead to this, lol. I've never had anywhere close to a bad experience in my e92.

This was my first time doing the bank in the M4 and it was also with BFG R1S - which has soft sidewalls.

For reference, here's my E92 lap with just bolt ons, BBK, springs, camber plates (still stock dampers), and NT01 tires (roughly equivalent to RE71R).

Great video! Which track app is that? And where did you position your camera?

Aim Solo DL data export to RaceRender for overlay. In the E92, the camera was attached to the headrest via Trackform mount; not possible in F82.

But WOW, nice job.
What wheels?

Wow that video gave me chills! Great job staying on it. I was at Poconos not too long ago and could not get myself to go over 115 mph on the bank - it’s a crazy feeling.

Not to hijack but I had a similar, but less scary situation last year. Went off the curb, started sliding around and eventually popped the tire. Could have been worse! The M is going to VIR in two weeks.

Wow. Did the curbing "pop" the tire?

I think it must have cut the tire somewhere on the side, and when I was sliding left and right it just helped rip it apart.

That's why I really like tracks that have nice runoffs instead of walls!
