As I said above installation was very easy, and there is no need to get a pro to do this job in my opinion. BMW quoted me 2.5 hours, but I did both sides in less then an hour and a half.
What you need: trim kit tx25 tx50 (no need for tamper proof version) Step 1. move both seats forward and lean back forward enough to expose centre column. Step 2. unplug battery and leave trunk open. Step 3. Trim removal: You need to remove 4 pieces total for each side. Each piece can be removed just by hand with the exception of one part that I found needed a piece from the trim kit. Remove (pull by hand): Remove (pull by hand): Pull back (one "click"). This allows for the largest trim pieces to now be free and be able to be removed. Remove: Start from the bottom by pulling it out. then pull down. Easy. Remove: Only tricky part I found was pulling out the white plugs. After I determined all you needed to do is use the trim tool (crow bar looking end) to pry out the white plug both came out fairly easy. Angle that shows where you put the crow bar end of the trim tool Once the two bottom white plugs are out simply pull down on the trim piece and its out. Next three steps are so easy you barely need instruction. 1. At the seat 2. At mech (phone overheated at this point so couldn't take photo) 3. tx25 to remove one of the screws holding the small metal bar crossing the belt. Once one is removed you can shift the bar and get the belt out. *note - there is one electrical plug that goes into the seatbelt mech. I tried to figure out if there was a proper way to unplug it because a firm pull wouldn't take it out. I ended up preying it out on both with the trim tool and there was no damage. You may find a better way. Final Steps: Replaced all screws and follow the correct torx values. Then replace all trim pieced by hand. They all simply snap back in. |

Well i started off with switching the back M3 emblem, then moved up to removing the airbag logo on the visor. Seat belts was a significant step forward to me. Next will be gear shifter and ebrake followed by Laser jammer. Not only am i surprising myself, but I make sure to brag about my work to my wife and friends who equally show surprise....to much so maybe. |

2.) Poured rubbing alcohol on the sticker 3.) got it hot with a hair drier 4.) Proceed to rub with semi abrasive towel (old terry cloth, or glass gleaner town should do the job) back and forth until it start to slowly peel away. Keep adding alcohol to the towel. really its crappy annoying job, and ultimately leaves an outline of where the sticker once was. I dont think that is avoidable. The best course of action is to order the euro visors from IND. It was MUCH easier on my E46 because they were fabric instead of hard plastic which made the stick peel off no problem with some goo gone. |

No discoloration of the black what so ever. You will, however, see an outline of where the stick once was under certain lighting conditions. I dont know enough about wrapping, but perhaps a black wrap job of some type would be better? |
