Red start/stop button

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a red start/stop button for the M3. One that looks like a Ferrari start stop button.

Is there such a cosmetic mod?

see if the New F90 M5 start button would retrofit if that's something you are after.

Reach out to MACarbon.com.

They can make one for you in red carbon fiber.

The new G90 M5 button definitely won't fit. You could probably just take it apart and source the red button though.

That red CF one is probably gonna look like butt after a few years. It does look pretty in that pic though.

The red one in the link above looks decent.

The red carbon one looks kinda cheap IMO.

my thoughts too, all my car interior is carbon fiber including the steering wheel center trim, hand brake, door handles, gear shift lever but that red carbon fiber start/stop button doesn't look authentic or classy

So despite the fact that not single structural piece of your car is carbon, and any carbon that can be seen is purely veneer, you're drawing the "authentic" line at red! (I get it I get it, I have it my car now too blah blah blah disclaimer just kidding blahblahblah)

I was so happy with the E9x's "carbon leather", I thought it was awesome, plus it was matte so gave the interior texture while also looking stealth and badass.

BMW knew how to do kickass gauges then too, the F8x ones suck

Agreed!! I loved the carbon leather in my z4m and e90 m3. Would have def chosen it in the f80 if it was an option.

Isn't the strut tower brace CF? That would seem "structural".

Cheers

Roof is carbon fiber, trunk lid is carbon fiber and drive shaft is carbon fiber.
Also:

Strut bar is Carbon Fiber
Most OEM exterior accessories are CF or at least optioned this way.

I'd be willing to gamble on this one. Looks like the silver portion would fit too and I wouldnt mind that.

There is some Chinese one in the FS forums for like $40 but looks cheap af

Not on the F83 (the car in question), and even if it were, the trunk and drive shaft aren't structural and arguably the roof isn't either.

But in any event the point was that seeing the carbon became cool from hypercars because one was showing off the high-tech material of the core of the car, i.e. a carbon tub.

That translated down in a RICE way to seeing any carbon is cool ... but for me gluing CF onto plastic is RICE.

It's like having a huffy steel bike frame and slapping on a carbon water bottle bracket because performance!

Just my 2 cents of course.

good point - the F83 strut is structural and the carbon shows through and that's pretty cool.

On the CF accessories, sure because RICE sells: if you can't have a carbon tub McLaren you can at least glue carbon veneer onto your side mirrors.

Fancy!

Hey - rather than red start stop buttons, I thought I'd CNC mill some in a clear acrylic, background them in red, and engrave the words on the front in black. Once polished, it will look like a diamond start button! Way stronger than that red CF one
