I wish YMB looked more like Porches Mexico Blue

I think the metallic flake in YMB is what throws it off

You and I both. There's always Individual Santorini or Laguna Seca.

I was at the Montreal auto show yesterday and I have to say that Austin Yellow looks very good in real life. I am not feeling the YMB at all though. I am personally not into "flashy" colors for my own cars, but that AY looked awesome (under the projector lights of the car show that is, I cannot comment on how it will look in daylight). Kind of reminded me of the Phoenix Yellow of the E46 but darker and richer.

If you are into this type of color, I would definitely recommend it.

I think this color will be a hit once more of us can see it on the streets. Most people i have heard from that have seen it live all say the pictures don't do it justice.

Looking at it more and more I think your right, thats why its so hard to get a feel for what it will look like in person.

Looks a lot better than silverstone M3 without CF roof.
However, I am still not digging into this color.

I really want to see sakhir orange and alpine white M3!

I originally had Austin Yellow on my M3 order. I changed my mind and went with Sakihir Orange instead. I think Austin Yellow will look awesome in the right lighting. I just don't think I could like with it day in and day out. I had a Speed Yellow Porsche 997 and I loved the way it looked, but the mid life crisis cracks got a little old. It was also hard to sell, there are only so many people willing to buy a yellow car.

Yeah but it not Yellow yellow if you get my drift, it's more of a metallic gold. Unique to Bmw and the M3/M4 that's. Why I like it so much. Only on these models. Never been done before

The Austin Yellow really does look good and screams M3 M3 M3

Combine that with the CF roof and you really have a winner, this is probably going to be one of the hottest looking "stock" cars out there. We all know modded M3's look great!

I'm still 80/20 on this color over the mineral white since I think it's a bit too much for a daily driver as people will surely remember you after the 2nd or 3rd day which is probably not a good thing since I hate paparazzi...haha

I actually prefer SS II more than AY, but it's a matter of taste, of course. I hope there will be more pics of both, since none of them are really good visible (in SS II and AY).

Actually the AY looks much better on the M3.

Sapphire Black M4 looks so much better than Austin Yellow M4 from Detroit Auto Show pictures.
BSM is probably the best look on the M4

THIS
Test drove an m4 in this color and although it is beautiful and unique I wondered if it would wear on me over time. Went with SO.

I have AY m4, love it. Dealer also had an m3 AY, I've got to say for some reason that color looked better on m4. Maybe brainwashed from all the mags showing it in blue, but I prefer m3 in blue.
