Lip or not

Looking for some opinions on what looks best on the F8x platform. Wheel styles that have a lip vs the one-piece designs.

Along those same lines, exposed hardware or not?

GTS LIP, you can order from lightweight copy, quality is the same and price is lower than original

LOL. OP is talking about lips on wheels. Wheels with lips vs spokes that come out all the way to the edge.

I like deep lips and deep dish wheels. It's too bad, you can't go too deep with the F8X though.

I had both monoblock and 3 piece with lip and love both. I think the lip wheel looks more agressive and mono more classy

Chuckled....

Yeah, to me, a wheel lip with exposed hardware gives that purpose built race but look, rather than just style. The added plus is a varied hub and barrel finish.

LOL. I thought some of the responses were pretty funny.

Lip or no lip, it's personal opinion but it's dependent on the "total" look of the car. Will it be lowered? Does it have an aero package and if so, which one?

On a stock appearance car with only a slight drop, I say stick with mono-block wheels. It would retain the classy OEM look. Otherwise the sky is the limit if you have a drop, aero package and other exterior mods.

Lip looks better on a modded car. Mono-block otherwise.

Thanks for the responses. I never even thought how the mods would effect the decision.

My 2015 M4 is sapphire black lowered with MP HAS. It also has MP front lip, side blades, rear diffuser, Indy reflector delete and tinted windows.

The only thing left for me is the right wheel decision. Probably Forgeline in some sort of a combination of dark grey, dark tinted brushed, grey pearl or something. Nothing too ostentatious, just a well proportioned fit and look.
