Problem is, I want to end this insanity! Not sure what it is, but I find myself feeling awfully guilty all of sudden with what I have. I promise I won't go there and bore everyone here Bottom line, cars are my vice AND my passion. I just need to strike a better balance. But coming back home (BMW) I think I'm back on the right road...

My dealer got an SO exactly configured like my BSM that was a week away from showing up. I had considered it as I like SO, until I saw BSM and my jaw dropped... Pictures do it no justice how well it looks with the comp package, a bunch of folks at the dealership agreed.

Nice ride, love the SO, congrats!!. I was in same situation where I switched cars too often. So I decided to just have two and that had actually helped me not to get bored. I just switch it up depending on my mood. Initially may be more expensive but it has helped me keep my cars longer. Had the CTS-V Wagon for almost 4 years now and the M3 for close to two years. Plus it helps keep the miles low and the resale value is better when you decide to sell or trade.

Congrats, what a beauty. Love those ZCP wheels, I really fell in love with them.
Honestly, what feels faster and more fun, besides the obvious V8-muscle sound and AWD launch capabilities?! Can the F80 hang with the Jag from a roll on? Curious about your impressions as well!

I think I'm going to hold on to the Mini. Having the Mini changes it up a bit and it's nice to get back in a 6MT! Quote:
I had an M4 before the Jag. The Jag is just a different animal! The F80/82 can certainly keep up, but the V8 is a monster. The Jag's 550/502 V8 just pulls and keeps pulling. And that sound!!! My God will I miss that sound!!! With that said however, the Jag is ridiculously heavy and more tuned as a GT car. I also lacked confidence in the Jag's brakes, especially in the wet. Again, I loved the Jag, and really the only reason I decided to unload her was due to the amount of attention I received in my particular situation.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, that Jag sounds insane! The best sounding V8 next to the GT350, IMO.
I would definitely consider an R, or even an SVR. It's British muscle, haha! The M is also gorgeous and gets plenty of attention in itself. Enjoy!

Like you, I suffer from car ADD and at this point have started to feel real guilty with throwing money and what not at these things. To give you in example; in the last 3 years, I have gone from a C63 AMG to E92 M3 to E70 X5M and now to my F80 M3 that I picked up yesterday. Every time I say it's the last but then I am back looking at other options yet again. Like me, with you I don't think there was anything wrong with the Jag and you had any issues with it. If you think you wanting to fly under the radar and having less attention was a legit reason then we both know that you're lying to yourself right? It boiled down to ONE simple reason....the car ADD. If I am being honest, that's the issue with me..... Anyway what's done is done. Jag was a gorgeous car and what you have now is also stellar. Just try to stick to it for a few years like I am going to try super hard to! Enjoy in good health. |
