Thinking of selling my 15 M4 for a 12 R8 V10

Very nice, enjoy in good health. I miss the V10 in my M5 everyday, if that thing had had a double clutch it'd still be around.

Sorry to dredge this thread up, but had some questions:
First, now that you're going on two years without the F80, what's your review on the V10 R8?

Thoughts after the period you've had it for? Happy surprises? Angry surprises? Maintenance costs? Street attention level? running costs? etc.

I'm heavily leaning towards making the same swap you did during this upcoming spring. Are you on r8talk? What's the handle there? I'm on it but using a very different screenname.

Would like to hear about the R8 as well. I have a 991.1 GTS. Excellent drivers car, but curious about R8 ownership vs. 911 GTS, since you owned a 991 S prior. Is the R8 all show no go? Or is it a backroads carver?
