Gloss Black Kidney Grilles - $250 each
Really? I paid $150 for a pair of them for my 335 last year. Are the grills any different for the M3 or M4 than for the F30?

Don't think so. Should be the same.

Outer surrounds are the same. You can certainly get the F30 ones from the dealership. I just got the whole grill, side marker, and reflector package from INDY. Think it's around $500 shipped all in.

Sure, but they most definitely void warranty. On a brand new, first year production model, I want my warranty.

Also, the versions I have seen are all catless, which is only for off-road use.

That is only a "suggestion".

E92 M3 supercharged 700hp, full catless exhaust and never denied a warranty or maintenance service. It is a dealer discretion issue.

It's actually the F32 outer surrounds that are the same. The F30 outer surrounds are a bit different shape will not as I understand (have not actually tried).

Yeah, that's what I meant. F30 to F80, F32 to F82.

Until something major goes wrong and BMW Canada has to be involved for warranty work.

I had a heavily modded E92 as well, always got basic warranty and service done with no issues. Then again, nothing major went wrong either. If they need to consult BMW Canada, and BMW Canada sends someone down. The minute they see an aftermarket down pipe, the bill is yours to pay. Simple.

I'm almost positive the F80 and F82 share the same front grill and both would use the F32 surround.

Ok I do not want to question your confidence, but I have 2 E92 M3's, and 2015 M4. My one e92 is heavily modded(never had a refusal). The other is a 2013 and has full exhaust, underdrive pulley and 8600rpm tune. The 2013 stared throwing code/limp mode a month ago and it went to the dealer. They first tried a ICV, no luck. Then they opened a PUMA case and got authorized to install a Throttle actuator, no luck. Then was escalated to BMW AG and authorized a DME replacement(that they knew had a tune in it). So it may not be so simple, but some are. So I will let you know how my experience goes when my downpipes go on my M4 next week.

Already modding? Which down pipes are you getting? What mods do you have planned?

I have the mod bug as well but concerned about warranty.

My simple advice to you is talk to your dealer. Let them know your plans. Let them know it is all reversible. BMW is not as shy to light modding as one might think. They like that you enjoy your car. I am installing Zima Motosports Sig downpipes.

It's not my confidence I am worried about. It's the "what if" factor I concern myself with. Which dealership do you deal with? What I was referring it is when BMW Canada or NA sends a technician out to look at the car. They are not as forgiving as certain dealerships. I doubt BMW Canada would warranty your 2013 given its mods. So, it's more a case of you being lucky, hence the exception, rather than the rule. I say this because I don't want to mislead people on the forum. Once you start doing mods that alter the drive line, its "doing it at your own risk".

Very good. I believe luck has nothing to do with it.

LOL! Then do share your knowledge on how to dodge bullets. I'm not disagreeing with you. I just find it hard to believe based on my own experience with shops around here. Because most Toronto dealerships are skittish. I've asked, tried, and ended up going with mostly Dinan/Akra performance mods to preserve warranty. If we can all pull off what you have done, then it would be much cheaper for me to mod!

Which dealership? Are you out in West Coast/Hongcouver?

As far as mods go. The car can't put power to the ground. I'm always loosing traction on the track. Hence my first mod will be wider tires all around.

I am quite interested in the exhaust considering the Akra cost more.
I am also very interrested in the MPE. The price you got quoted, does it include the Titanium tips? Or do you need to get those extra?

(All US sites quote the price of the MPE without the tips, you then need to add either Ti or CF tips for ~$900 and ~$1300 repsectively)

Tips are extra but I am not sure how much because the parts people doesn't seem to know much about it. Also I am a little skeptical about the price for the exhaust because I don't believe it is the full cat back.

It definitely is not. I have the BMW product description for dealers. Like I mentioned earlier, no power gain stated, just "sportier sound" in both modes.
