Week 48 Production WTF!

I spoke to the broker today and i was told week 48 even though i ordered the car in march!?

So i changed the colour from BSM to YMB...

Dont think i can wait that long!

Will color alone impact your production date?

I would guess that the long time horizon is either due to the dealer overselling allocations or a parts shortage related to your choice of options.

Oh wow that's gotta suck.. I've heard there's shortages ON LED's, full leather and CCB's, do you have any of those?

My order has been delayed 4 times already... Started with week 26 and now at week 42... I have all three of the shortage options on my order. Trying to change to EU delivery to see if the build date finally sticks.

Damn that sucks man. Sorry to hear. Have you asked the dealer about their available allocations.

Sorry to hear that.
I ordered my car in May and don't even have a production week!
The dealer told me there was a shortage of carbon fibre roofs too. Don't know how true that is but I will wait a few more weeks for a date and then decide whether I can wait!

As I have said before I ordered my car on 6th June and it is expected at the dealer in Aberdeen today. Sadly can't collect it till a week tomorrow. I suspect many of the problems are from dealers not actually ordering the cars with BMW when they take the customers order as they have to wait till they have a quota slot. Ask dealer for the BMW order number and phone BMW UK info line, they will confirm where in the process your car is.
