ooo i know, and i think you are misunderstanding me. I'm explaining that I'm comfortable with that.

i want a 2016, i roughly understand what I'm going to be purchasing and at a rough estimate of the cost given an understanding that my order is at a certain amount over the inevitable invoice.

pretty comfortable still with all this.

So no real differences going on for 2016 models. That's cool.

Wait, I thought Champagne Quartz was supposed to be available? They take away Pyrite Brown, and replace it with Smoked Topaz? Ewww.

In fact, offering Smoked Topaz only makes me more mad they won't approve Techno Violet...

The real question is whether BMW changed the default throttle, suspension, and steering settings. Maybe the car will remember your last settings. Worth waiting for the LCI if this was changed.

Don't really think they're changing any of that but you never know what little details are changed that don't make it to the fact sheet. I'm perfectly content with pressing the M1 button every time I start the car.

The car just came out, you think with in a year they should change a bunch of stuff ?, that makes no sense maybe 3 years down the road with a bumper refresh and comp pack.

Well, the rest of the world isn't standing still. Mercedes, Cadillac, and Audi are gunning for BMW and have stepped up their game massively. While most of us enthusiasts here lean towards BMW, we're a relatively small portion of the pie. The rest of the market now has other compelling non-BMW choices in the performance luxury segment.

+1

I am sure BMW does not inspire from us alone -they use marketing/sales data.

You should add Lexus and Jaguar to that list.

Now this is something worth swapping into 2016 model for...unless it can be coded that is.

Just a thought:

Everyone seems to be "concerned" about tail lights with LCI, where if 2015 would look "dated".

IMO, headlights should also be a discussion point. If the LED headlights become standard starting 2016, then all 2015 owners with Xenon will look "dated"

I would be more worried that BMW will make a new badge for the car. It will say M3/V.2016 or M4/V.2016

Then I will really be mad.

Full LED are only standard on the 340i for MY2016 (as confirmed by new Order Guides). M3, M4 and 4 Series still have Xenon standard. It is possible Full LED will become standard on the M3, M4, and 440i at the time of the 4 Series LCI. However, even if they do, the M3 and M4 may stick with the current headlight design (as they have in generations past). In that case, they'll looked dated compared to the LCI 340i/440i (and any other 3/4 LCI that has Full LED headlights optioned) anyway. Of course, some may prefer the current LED headlight design to the new one anyway.

Yes, just read that in this thread ( to myself)

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1132190

LED headlights remain an option. Surprising considering that the 340i has the LEDs standard...

Anyway, I was just be facetious .

There is a difference though. The LEDs in the 340i will not be the same LEDs as you can option in the M. They are a dumbed version.
