Both are great vehicles, though.

I thought about the Macan turbo but ended up going with the M4. The Macan turbo looks like a great package, but I have the Cayenne S and with its V8 and extra cargo room I feel that it fits the SUV role perfectly. I love my M4 and just reached 1200 miles. The M4 is great, it can be docile when you want it to, it has a great trunk and a usable rear seat, and it's performance is phenomenal. I love the torque and it flies! You have to be driving something very exotic or quick to blow its doors off as the M4 is a very capable car.

I traded a '13 Cayenne GTS in for my Macan Turbo and the Macan is a far better vehicle. But, if you really need the extra rear space (I don't), then the Cayenne is still an outstanding choice.

I've run 4.3 0-60 in my Macan Turbo using launch control on the street (real world time). I use performance box, which is what the mags use.
My Macan has PASM without air suspension which saves close to 100 lbs. I'm also at sea level. Last edited by Divexxtreme; 08-25-2014 at 06:41 AM.. |

Makes sense. AWD, launch control and turbo torque make for sick 0-60 times.

Porsche is a great vehicle regardless of what model you choose. Depending on the options that an individual will spec, it will determine it's capability on or off road. If you spend 65 or 70 for the base price, but put 20 to 30k in options you will have a vehicle that will be more capable. When I chose our 2011 Cayenne S I put 25k in options, but I chose a suspension and tire combination that would allow off road and on road capability. Porsche has tweaked the Q5 chasis and it is much better than a Q5 (costs more too), however, but the two share a similar structure. It was from there that Porsche started and tweaked (heavily tweaked I may add) to produce the Macan. The Macan rocks period and it looks great and the reviews back it up.
