Rear Differential Replacement?? Not sure if just US

I had an x4 loaner. I wouldn't recommend anybody get one! My friends Macan is a million times nicer

My vin is 5E68962 and i think i see it but want to double check. I got the car with 3,500 miles and not sure if its been replaced and BMW NA says there are no recalls on my vin, but its in the list.

Bumping an old thread, my 2018 M3 is having the rear diff replaced under warranty due to a humming sound when pulling off between 0 and 5 mph.

Not happy really.

To be honest you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel even at slow speeds.

Annoying! Went in for RIS Tuesday morning as well as having 2 rattles looked at and the humming. Originally I was told it may go after the RIS but it was still there after the RIS, turns out a new diff is needed and was ordered, came this afternoon, should have an update at 5:00pm as to whether the car will be ready to collect in the morning or the afternoon. Got an event in the evening so it will be close!

Not happy really! No courtesy car either so having to borrow my dads car to get around!

No courtesy car is bollocks they should be giving you a demo if they have no service cars, I'd complain to the sales guy/manager.

Hope it works out, no compensation I know but I've clocked up 76,000 miles in mine in just over 2 years and it's a solid package.

I am going to complain to BMW UK.

Seems like the noise may already be back!
