Track Day with MPS4S
Had my first track day at Autoclub Speedway (fontana) with these beauties. Now to be fair the temperatures were quite a bit lower than they were last summer but these tires had so much more grip than the cars stock tires did. Even out of 2nd gear low speed corners you could smash the gas and the tires would not slide around. Lap times dropped from 2:13 to 2:03 which is really impressive. They were also better under breaking. Note that I did do a One step size increase from stock. Not sure how much of that 10 seconds that accounted for. All that and such a quiet tire on the ride home. Not sure how they could improve on this product. Michelin really nailed it. Hopefully the tire wear is decent over the life of the tire.

Glad you liked the tires. I wished I had gone with them. I switched my Conti 5Ps that came on the car with 275/295 MPSS. I like them and they grip great in corners on the street but I still don't have good traction on an aggressive launch and I don't like the bubble look of the tires (my biggest issue). Has anyone compared the upsized MPSS against maybe a smaller 265/285 4S ?
