2014 NYIAS: BMW M3 (F80) in Silverstone II
BIMMERPOST NEWS 2014 NYIAS: BMW M3 (F80) in Silverstone II While we are all familiar with the upcoming M3, we haven't really gotten too many looks at the F80 in colors aside from Yas Marina Blue and Austin Yellow. BMWUSA has given us the treat of the car in the sure to be popular Silverstone II. The 2014 New York Autoshow lighting makes it look downright sinister. |

100% agree. This for me is acutally one of the selling points of the new M3, where as the E90/E92 generation I would pick the E92 simply bc of the CF roof, in its current guise I would/will be opting for the 4 door bc of the availability of the CF roof.

I really like this Silverstone II color. But I'm not in love with this M3 version. The front and back bumpers don't flow right. And what's the the purpose for the hood bump?

Geez, that looks really good!! Still not my first color choice, but SSII with SO interior would be a gorgeous combination

Ok I thought I was going crazy for a sec. I think it's a nice color. Not my choice but not bad. My eyes just seem to be picking out the blue a little too much.

Our US M3/4's on order better come with shadowline exterior trim (760 is listed as standard). Keep seeing these show cars with the matte trim...

I don't dislike SSII but it's never been a color that made me go, wow. It's about as cold and pale of a color you can find. Reminds me of the midwinter light in northern Sweden on really cold days or the hue of ice in a ice cave / crevasse. I'd prefer a silver like the classic Benz silver. |
