Transporting tyres in m4
Hi guys,
First of all I know how ridiculous this may seem however has anyone by any chance tried to fit 4 tyres in an m4? By that i mean how many can potentially fit in trunk + 2 on the rear seats. Will be travelling to a track however am having some logistics issues Thanks |

I tried to load my track wheels/tires once but decided to put them on at home and drive them to and from the track. I didn't think I would have had the room for my jack and additional supplies even if I could get them loaded. Not mention the dirt as potential scratches to the interior.

I was a total wheel/tire junkie for a while. I was able to put four mounted wheels/tires in my M3 easily. In the M4 you're going to have to move the front seats a bit, but I'm confident you can do it if you put the rear seats down. One goes in the trunk, two go side-by-side in the rear seats, and one more on top of those. Totally manageable. If you get bags for them they won't get the interior dirty.

I find the absolute easiest way to transport tiresis to put 3 across the back seat and 1 in the trunk. Wheel covers and blankets on the seats

I think it partially depends on what kind of tires you have, but when transporting my old wheels and tires, i could only fit 2, maybe if I tried hard, 3 of them in my m4. I put the back seats down and was able to fit my rear wheels+tires in the car. My rears were 19 x 10.5 on 305/30/19 tires. Maybe if you were trasporting 255/35/18 tires or something, you could make 4 fit.

4 tires fit easily in the M4. Just fold the rear seats down and stack two on top of each other and push them all the way forward. A third one will fit next to it but leaned up against it. The fourth will lean up against the other three tires with the front of the rim facing outward. You'll have to remove the first three through the passenger side door though.

With the backseat down, i can fit 3 tires in the back and 1 on the passenger seat My view in the mirror (passenger side) is partly obstructed.

You don't even have to fold the rear seat. My track tires are 275/35/18 and 305/35/18. I can fit all four of them next to each other by vertically aligning them in the rear seats. In terms of the dirt, it's not an issue either. I use tire totes and put them in an additional trash bag (largest size). I put my floor jack and tool bags in the trunk with still a lot of room left.
