Got a ding on front bumper

My beloved AW f82 got a ding which I have no idea how it happened. Not only it chipped the paint, the surface also got pushed inside. Looks like it was a strong impact.

What do you guys whink happened? I always back my car into parking spot. Is there any easy way to fix it myself? And how much would it cost a professional?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a license plate bolt, have you parallel parked somewhere recently? Maybe some one backed into you.

Could be the above. Don't stress to bad.

I took a chunk of concrete to mine when it was a month or two old. Badly damaged two spots of the bumper cover and hit the CF splitter (which just shrugged it off I might add). I didn't get around to fixing it for years, just did it a few months ago. You may find with some touch up paint you won't notice it shortly.

Feel your pain. Have a dent on my rear bumper from careless people. I didn't get it fixed and been trying to live with it

You can try to repair yourself with touch up paint to get rid of the black plastic showing but the depression will still show up if you look at it closeup. Dr color chip or Langka can help with the touch up. It won't be perfect though

If you want perfect, your only option would be to go to the body shop and have them work on it. Remove, fill/paint, bake, replace.

I've never parallel parked with this car since purchased, and yes it does look like a bolt, man I wish I had the dashcam installed so I could find out who did it. I might try to touch up fix it but I hate the fact that surface isn't flat anymore.

Grocery cart? Especially if you back in.

Yes, try the most conservative thing first and see if you can live with it. Nothing is perfect in this world especially with inconsiderate a-holes.

I heard that in California, a full bumper repaint is around $600-700.

Or try out Dr. Colorchip. Every one that buys the kit loves it.

Unless it's a show car or something, just touch up paint it and be done.

Touch up paint can remove the black mark but to push the bumper back u may want to try PDR.
