I've been starting with $1000 over ED invoice, and the best I've gotten was $2000 ED invoice from igom3's contact

They won't do it anymore. I put deposit and order in on June 30 and they cancelled it yesterday.
Actually Steve told me that effective July 01, it is strictly off of North American/US allocations and BMW cancelled the order because they went above their allocation of 4 each M4and M3. Sorry man

Semantics aside, it's $2k over their advertised invoice pricing. You're absolutely right though.

I think 5% or more off MSRP is a good deal on such new cars.

How much is Ed invoice exactly? Also if anyone wants to post/pm price breakdowns on Ed orders that would be great

As posted elsewhere U.S. MSRP ($64200 from configurator) x .92 = European MSRP x .93 = Euro invoice. Options and packages x .91. Shipping $950 Documents ~$400(Your papers Pleez!). That should ballpark "invoice" with shipping and fees. Add dealer profit on to that. I tried Dave at Thomas BMW and never got an answer although knowing me I screwed up signing on. I contacted several dealers with a form letter with what I wanted and got some proposals. Since I plan on having the car delivered at the PDC in Spartanburg I didn't care where I bought from. Jeremy Sceph at Joe Self in Wichita came back with $1200 over the above figured invoice . Didn't buy there because my dealer in Macon matched the price and will send someone forty miles to pickup and return my car for service. I would try him if your near there or Omar at BMW of Macon. I found that the dealers in the larger metro areas were not inclined deal but the further out in the "sticks" the better. Also with winter coming in the mid-west fewer of these type of cars get sold.

Based on these threads, I gathered the following pricing on the M3:

USA MSRP: $62,000
USA Invoice: $57,650
ED MSRP: $57,710
ED Invoice: $53,275

Can someone confirm that the ED Invoice price above is correct and that the best deals are $53,275 + $2,000 = $55,275?

If so, are people using invoice pricing on all the packages and options added to this base price or full MSRP pricing?

Prices on packages/options are not invoice, you always pay MSRP on options (as per my understanding). One price. So you configure your car based on ED invoice (as you perceive that to be) and then tack on options and shipping from there. $550 for AY will always be $550.

2K over ED invoice is a good deal, and what I ended up getting. Some have done better and some nowhere near as good.

I've yet to see on here anyone who has been delivered a fully bone stripper with no options at $55K. Even my deal came $67K optioned out.

I got $2000 off ED MSRP on an M4 Vert for an April/May ED.

Took a tiny bump on money rate and agreed to give up any possible incentives at signing.

Tough in major markets. They get good numbers of cars. But lots of buyers.

Saying your a repeat buyer gets you almost nothing as 95% of the buyers of M cars are repeat buyers (maybe not M cars but certainly at the dealership)

I'd love to get a great deal $1500-$2000 over ED invoice. But then I've got a trade to mess with as well that has Tax implications on trade.

Don't think were going to see many $500-1000 over invoice deals until cars stop coming out of allocation.

I'm sure there's some BMW dealer in Bumrush Alabama right now thinking he'd take that deal just to get rid of the two allocations he got. In the meantime in Houston the dealers are selling into 2nd qtr of 2015 already with 40-50 allocations for 2014. ugghhh

DslDwg,

Are you doing a ED in May, 2015?
That is like 7 months from now. I didn't know you can arrange for an ED that far in advance.

Does that mean that the car will be built ahead of time and be stored by BMW in Welt for 3-4 months? Is BMW willing to keep your car in storage that long?

If so, I might order early because I want to do an ED in July or August, 2015.

I got a pretty good deal from Khoi Diep(Long Beach BMW & MINI). You can ping him directly and mention Sal sent you. He has 4 allocations for December and he is willing to help out forum members.

ED for military is probably the best because they send the car back on their orders...

BMW has a military sales program with similar pricing.

European Delivery includes shipping back to the States.
