Nurburgring closed most of November?

Anyone know why the Nurburgring appears to be closed on their website during weekdays in November? This kinda sucks, as I had originally planned to visit during the week (when there would probably be less traffic). Since I scheduled my trip around being there midweek, I can't make any adjustments :\

Well, I was there last January and found that even when the track was open, the weather was pretty sketchy with a lot of rain and fog in the lower parts of the circuit. Because of the season, weather was poor, the normal rental venues were all closed. I came back to the track in late March and in late April and all was fine. There was no issue in renting from Rent4Ring and others. My take-away is -- while traffic is certainly less during winter, you better be sure to bring your own track car, and be willing to gamble on the possibility that the track may be closed due to weather once you arrive.

I got super lucky during my ED -- caught a dry day out of a week solid of rain. I 100% agree with your assessment. Don't count on luck: ED during summer, late spring or early fall.
