Dash lights flicker and off and on <700 miles 2016 F80 M3

I was told by the dealer today that this is a software issue and has a service bulletin yet no one has mentioned this on the forum. I figured I would put it out there just in case. Did get 1200 mile service done at the same time. The flickering dash started at around 700 miles and only does it on rare occasions.

Mine does the same thing my friend...I have 5200 miles on the clock.

Just take it in and they update your software. Apparently it is a new secret bulletin only bmw mechanics can see.

So much for "don't get the first year model." A MY16 issue.
My 2015 M3 has not given any problems, knock on my laminated floor that looks like real wood.

um mine just did this twice on my way to SF yesterday. It was like my car was possessed. Weird part about it all was the car was still functioning. I was sure that the car went dead lol. OP how did u get urs fixed?

Dealership updated software x2, then went away. They know about the problem.

Yes. Has not happened since. But if you code your car they may update your software and limit your options. If you don't code, just take it in to get it fixed. It's on the mechanic list of issues with '16 models from what I was told

Yeah it's happened to me twice. Once I was on my way to San Jose from SF and all the electronics turned off, then restarted a few minutes later. It was dark and I was going 80 on the freeway. Spooky stuff.
